Turning our attention to the NATURAL solution for the position, AFTER the cheaper loan option * about.

Anyone with half a * brain can see Juranovic is the superior choice. A permanent signing, a permanent solution. But according to these reports, we've been dicking about, trying to get a * loan of Man City.

The notion that we were going for both is not valid imo. It's just simply not how we operate.

 

Juranovic and Lovric both just been named in the Croatia squad for their upcoming games.

Get them signed.

 

Lovrić is on a "waiting list". Not sure how do you call it, but it's not the main 23-man squad. He can get in if there's an injury.

 

This RB chase has been all over the place all summer.

We don't seem to know who we want.

I liked the sound of Couto, seemed the best we were linked with, just * that it would only be a loan.

I want Juranovic but I'm still a bit worried about him too. Someone on here who watches Croatian football said he can be Dani Alves one minute and Barkas the next. Don't want another Laxalt or Tolijan experiment.

 

Toljan was permanently *, Laxalt became *. I'd like to hope Juranović can at least be a Mulgrew in terms of performance.

Mulgrew was a very good performer, with one bad game in every 15. I don't think Juranović is world class, but he tries, and focuses on what he does well.

 

Laxalt was good when he first came in, but Lennon quickly coached that right out of him!

 

Obviously hoping we get this boy in sharpish, but I don't think he knocks Ralston off his place straight away. Ralston has been working with Ange from day one and is already well versed in the system we play. You don't just sign a new guy and throw him in cold with zero preparation.

 

Think we’ll see plenty of rotation under Ange which means Ralston would still feature even once we get someone in. At this stage I’d just be happy to get an RB plus some cover at CB and move forwards.

This was any other business heads would role for utter incompetence and derelict of duty..

As I said when this rumour originally came about (and all the other rumours re signing players) I will wait until there is a photo of him standing in Celtic park with a Celtic top on with the obligatory scarf held high above his head.
