I don't disagree with any of that. Its just when we have other positions to fill and appear to be ducking and diving regards them then I really can't see us adding anymore central midfielders when we at least have some cover there.

 

It’s going to be a long hard season and not being greedy but I want to win EVERYTHING

 

Wonder if we will land him before Tuesday deadline?
Really need reinforcements in midfield.

 

Think we could do with him he is calm and has a bit of strength about him,could sit in the Brown role and let McGregor be more of an influence on games

 

I'd 100% sign him, which means we 100% won't sign him.

 

The midfield is still a problem for us when we play them need a couple of enforcers in that midfield the Christie's and Turnbulls disappear in this fixture .

 

Could really be doing with someone like him. Soro is the only 'ball winner' we have but he lacks the discipline to be a regular starter in important games.

Can't see him playing 30-40 games this season. Never know right enough.

Wonder how far he is from starting games as he didn't look far off it when he came on last time.

 

Could’ve done with him yesterday in helping McGregor, the boy is a player and doesn’t start blowing out his * after 60 minutes.

 

Really hope this is one we can get done. Not expecting it and no real links, but think we’ll regret not getting him in

 

Can we rely on him to be fit?

Will hold judgement but I feel the next two weeks during the international break we need McCarthy, Forrest, Johnston and the new guys Scales, Jota, Giakoumakis and any others put through a preseason and Ange system introduction so they are ready to go for the next block of games.

On topic McCann is a no brainier that we need the type of midfielder he is. We are going to need depth in our engine room given the volume of games we play.

 

Rumours surfacing but it’s probably just fans wanting him signed and it’s growing legs.We really should sign him this window as we’d probably get him for around £2mil,his price will only go up.

 

He could immediately make an impact on our squad right now. If we're signing him, I'd rather loan out Soro.

 

We don't actually need him to be playing all the games in every match though... Just for big important ones and swapping out with other options for the lesser teams, or only half/60mins

 

I think there would be plenty of interest in Soro (even at this late stage) if we said he was available on loan.

McCann has that energy & stamina that is crucial for CMs in Ange's system, he knows when to press and when not to and is a good footballer to boot. I think he's perfect for us and if a deal goes through I'd want him in now.

Rogic and/or Turnbull could come in for games v domestic cannon-fodder and McCann and/or McCarthy for games were we need more legs and defensive discipline.

 

We need a player like McCann just now for difficult away ties like Aberdeen Hearts Hibs etc. Get the boy signed and it covers a massive gap in our squad.
