from what i read and watch (matches, not highlights) about him is that hes good at tackles and positioning. not the fastest one but decent enough for a cb. also watching the olympic, its weird that japan looks good in the air when the typical argument was the usual "asian players" "lightweight" "cant do header" in the same bracket.
and hes done all last season matches on full 90 minutes. one of the only two players in the eredivise last season. so no worry about fitness and injury issue atleast
a worrying aspect was, initially, he got trouble adapting to anew environment. city sent him to groningen at the summer and he didnt get a single game until the start of the new season

He doesn't look physically imposing to me and hasn't been asked the same questions that he will be asked in our league, guys like Jullien have been bullied at times in the SPFL. I think we need a dominant center back who can handle physicality, considering Welsh and Starfelt are undersized.

 

That's one and I'd rather him than Itakura, I think he's more what we need.
