    Not even just holidays, a few good family celebrations could have a more devastating effect than a well planned squad trip to Dubai :40:

    He's being brought in to offer some opinions not make decisions, don't see the need for being too fussed. Assuming half of what's being reported is true.

    He’s basically coming in as a consultant, it’s not really a big deal imo. I don’t think it’ll cause anything groundbreaking to happen at the club and changes probably won’t even be visible to us, but I hope it brings some positive results. Welcome back, Gordon.

    I thought he was their technical director, which I was assuming was DOF type role, even if its not, I still think sharing a guy who already works for another club in your league, in a role which is to advise on the set up of the new structure of the club, seems a strange move

    Was going to post this.

    I'm honestly not arsed about this at all. Probably won't be here in a year.

    No I’m just curious. I never liked the guy, he’s got some pretty pre historic and disturbing views on life and society in general. However, I feel his popularity among Celtic fans has plummeted in the last 18 months based on some of his ‘punditry’ on the Pass to Paradise

    Not really bothered what he’d be coming to do… as long as no squad interference…
    (Although I thought Dundee had him in an ‘advisory role’)

    ….. but my first thought on hearing this was that it probably makes Strachan juniors job that bit more secure.. :42:

    Hopefully it’s a lot of * of the “sun sport understands “ variety …

    Maybe now Lawwell has left the building Dom realizes he needs some help short term or that there are areas PL ignored and he wants Strachan to give him a comprehensive assessment.

    Not sure how the guy operated when he took over in the Rugby environment but if he feels he needs WGS input for the short term then I'm OK with it.

    Would rather the club had went out and signed a LB and RB

    Do you think Taylor's boots would fit WGS?

    A football man coming in as a consultant to the CEO on football matters? A real positive move for me that

    Must have missed those opinions. What pre historic and disturbing views does he hold?

    Never minded him but those sort of comments do make me wonder.

    Look it’s not easy to get highly qualified, experienced consultants in the door on a full time basis.

    So in that respect, we should be very grateful that we have been given access to such an esteemed technical director from an organisation like *checks notes* Dundee Football Club

    * joke of an appointment.

    A: the "perimeters" of his appointment are spelled out in excruciating detail by queef Jackson in the record. The second time Desmond has utilized this outlet for his bidding. A weak attempt to communicate that Strachan won't be DoF. For now anyway.

    B: the notion that Strachan had ANY credentials to oversee ANY youth development at ANY club is like putting Josef * Mengele in charge of a diversity programme. After all, he infamously blamed genetics and Scottish breeding habits after getting dumped out of the WC, guy is walloper.

    C: Even he wasn't a clueless *, he's still a sardonic *. He has zero contacts in the modern game, chats massive amounts of *, can't take any form of criticism, and has an approach to the game that is 20 years behind the rest of the continent.

    I was actually * shocked at another poster on here claiming that at least he wasn't a "yes man".

    * seriously?

    How the * do you think he's getting this job? On merit?

    Dermot Desmond is a * cancer at this club. And his new "hands on" approach has us sitting on top of a microwave, smoking cigars, with six mobile phones strapped to our head.

    Hopefully Strachan stays clear of the first team squad and Ange has him by the throat in his first day.

    Mental appointment which just begs more questions around our ability as a club to operate at a sufficient level.

    How * * do we need to be, to be poaching Dundee's * DoF for 3 months?
    What was the point in hiring that recruitment agency? They never found us a coach - we promoted McManus. They never found us a Manager - Dom and/or City Group did that. They aren't finding us a DoF/Sporting Director/Technical Director, call it what you will. They haven't helped in hiring new backroom staff at all.
    What does Strachan actually offer to be hired for just 3 months for the roles suggested? What really are we expecting him to achieve in this time?
    What have we been doing since December since that "review"? What even was the review about? It seemed NOT to be about whether or not Lennon continued as a manager, it seems it wasn't to review our structure - because we still don't seem to have a * clue.

    Honestly, more questions than answers here and I really don't understand what we have been doing since February. The square root of * all seems to be the answer.
