Sounds like an extra pair of hands for the time being to get things off the ground sounds like their trying to put things in place for a director of football to come in

Only 3 months ? Strange and a bit pointless but at least it's not long term.

 

I’m in a position to advise Ange, so are you. It’s just wording to make more * read it. It’s not a position he’s been given as Ange’s personal advisor.

 

Forget the fact its strachan and whether you like him or not, we have hired another team in the leagues DOF for 3 months on a consultancy basis while he still works for Dundee aswell. Sounds absolutely mental, Dom Mckay needs to come out and explain the logic in this one.

 

I don't like him giving analysis on our games never mind in a sporting director or whatever job he's supposed to do

I’m probably in the minority but I like him. I liked him when he was manager so I’m okay with this.

 

Got no idea what any of that gibberish means tbh. First bit makes zero sense.

 

If only maybe the best Director of Football in the game had just started a football consultancy company to go in and advise clubs to help build structures…

 

I’m just curious and you don’t have to even answer this, but have you been using the pass to paradise over the last 12 months? Did you catch much of his ‘punditry’ last season?

 

An older wiser head , it takes all kinds to make a good team , I hate the way the new breed of fans think , you must be 30 to 40 something with a man bag a bicycle and look like a school teacher to be respected as possible manager , there are really only 2 ways to play football, defensive or attacking, both work , because your older or haven't managed in a while doesn't mean you can't implement good ideas.
Older people can still have rolls to play in society , things like supermarket checkouts or McDonald's grounds man cleaning loos in m &s so give wee Gordon a break or he will set his pit bull on ye , not you straight talker all the negative Norman's .

 

Temporary for the next 5-10 years

 

In many ways Strachan had to rebuild a team in transition just like Ange. Many similarities and advice that he can provide during these initial months.

He's coming in for the short term during a turbulent period until we get the right DOF. Seems like a decent move.

 

To be fair if it’s just temporary then there’s few better to help consult to help set up the modern system Dom wants in place. I doubt very much Strachan is the only one we’ll be taking on to help set it all up.

Dom doesn’t have any experience with football set ups and Ange is busy enough with the team and transfers to oversee it all.

Think we’re all jumping the gun a little here.

He’s an advisory role at Dundee aswell in the paragraph in the son said he’s worked with manager directors and managing director .... managing director would be director of football
