    This.

The result at the weekend was a good confidence booster and it feels great to be happy having watched us after a weekend, but there is still a lot of work to be done. He was poor against Jablonec for me and against better opposition wont do it.

Taylor is the same and for me, is now a bigger worry. Which is astonishing.

Hes played alot better than we expected but he isnt the answer, fair play to him for keeping the head down and working hard though.

He will be ok as a backup, Taylor isnt even good enough as backup.

He’s playing well and maybe even played his way into being a back up for this season at least. Few weeks ago I would’ve said he was nowhere near good enough to be a back up but he’s changed my mind. Him and Taylor will do as second sting for now, don’t think going and buying 4 new full backs in one window was ever likely to happen anyway and probably not a great idea. Just need to try and find one for each side who is ready to go straight into the thick of it.

He's not 23 yet and is improving. He's fine as second choice RB, and you never know he might continue to improve and end up being a good servant to the club.

I don’t think anyone is seriously saying that he’s now first choice, just that he’s moved up from 3rd choice to a backup, saving us from needing 2 RB’s and giving us the option to strengthen elsewhere first.

What his development has done has shown others that when opportunities are available, then take them.

Would love to see him continue to prove people (myself included) wrong, but I have my doubts. Even if he does, we still need to be looking for better.

Offering more than Taylor atm. Still think we need two new full backs but.

Fair to say, he has cemented the RB back up role, and that’s it, will do to deputized now and again for our new dynamic RB.

I think you meant: Fair to say, he has cemented the ST backup role.

I dont think anyone here is saying he should be first choice, far too soon for that and I wouldn't want him starting against the huns.

I do think he's done enough to warrant the back up spot, until January at least.

He's been much, much better than Taylor as well, who is our biggest concern atm.

I'd have him ahead of Griffiths as third choice striker.

Wish him all the best and he's done well but a season is over 50 games not 5. He'll regress to his mean.

As said above, don't grt carried away.

Id still get rid, 2 rbs for me. In complete desperation then backup.

On both our fbs we need 2 each but if the offer is keep them but we defo get a new kb and rb then fine.

Only thing being is he cost nothing, Taylor cost £3m, lol, whoever the * does transfers for Killie should be knighted.

I don’t think he’s good enough to be back-up here still. Hope he proves me wrong.

At this point his form buys us the opportunity to only bring in 1 right back and focus elsewhere for other signings, only. Which is decent but nothing more.

He’ll also now have to be ousted by the new signing for his position rather than them waltzing in and being guaranteed a spot.

I'd love it if he could keep this level of performance going and become a first team regular. We need to start seeing more guys from the academy break through obviously if they are good enough.

I don't think they would have kept him on board if they didn't see something in him.

I think he will be back-up for this season. Same with Taylor at LB (can see Scales taking his place if he comes in). We're not going to get in all the signings we need this summer, it'll take two or three windows. That being the case, delighted to see Ralston stepping up so far. Hope he kicks on, but is likely to be ousted by whoever we sign.

I’m delighted for him and it’s something I said should have been happening last year instead of dross like Kenny. 5 games it’s taken him to raise his stature, he should have had the run in last year.

Whether that means we develop him a bit more and sell him or he’s better prepared to step in this year. We need to learn from the Kenny debacle, don’t loan other people’s dross when we have somebody who has been in and around the first team squad ready to develop.
