He also wouldn't be on about £2m a week though. If he scores 50 a season it'll soon replace it. Obviously doesn't mean he is capable but he seems the most likely.

    Neto 70k
    Araujo 40k
    Umtiti 230k
    Wague ???
    Pjanic 180k
    Coutinho 165k
    Dembele 230k
    Griezmann 880k

Could all be sold in my eyes - it would leave them light in the middle, but promote from within or go then buy someone new (surely able to after all that cleared off their books).
Trying to source that properly is hard, some wildly different claims to the wages and I aint buying 880k for Greizmann, others have it more and others less at 500k.

But all in, that is 1.5million a week in wages, there or there abouts.

Mental what they are wasting at times.

    There'll never be another Messi..

    The greatest of all time..

No many footballers you want to watch every week in a different country and league just because of him mainly. A joy..

Watching him break down in his press conference was hard, I honestly don’t think he wants to leave.

In reality they’d do it in a heartbeat to keep him and they’ve tried to move on Griezmann and Umtiti, but who really wants to take on those wages and who wants to take a wage cut from that.

    Horribly run club.

Christ, some of the * getting posted online is like the wee * has revealed he only has 6 months to live.

It's a millionaire tax dodging footballer moving to another football club to continue adding to his millions. Folk need to get a grip :giggle1:

Yep. He’s so far ahead of anyone else who’s ever played it’s frightening. Going to be gutted when he retires tbh.

I hate that he’s going to PSG.

It would of been unreal to see him on match of the day. I’d of loved him to go to Inter or something like that too.

Realistically, it’s PSG or City that are the only two teams that could afford him.

The reaction by the English media and fans on why he turned the so called best league in the world is hilarious.. Its maybe no the greatest league in the world maybe lol
. Most of the top players last 20 years haven't played for any English team. Off top of my head.. R. Carlos cafu. Rivaldo. Ronaldinho. Ronaldo. Lewdondowski. Zidane. Mbappe xavi iniesta. C Ronaldo played for man utd and always linked back. But never has went back. Fact is Spanish Italian and now French league has always had the best players in it. * the epl

Don’t get the weird PL hate. You’re actually lying to yourself because you could say that highlighted bit about any league on the planet. The actual best league in the world changes season to season.

And the bit about Ronaldo is strange too, he played there but doesn’t count because he didn’t go back.

It’s the English media I hate, not the league, teams or players.

Usually I don't grudge players trying to rake it in while they can but I think he for one could have afforded to take even more of a hit (he has a reported net worth of £3 to 400m) and go somewhere he wanted to and a bit of an adventure rather than just PSG bcos they pay the most. Rumoured 35mil a year. I'm sure he could have slummed it on 5/10/15m a year elsewhere. He's wasted on PSG imo.

PSG are desperate to win the CL. They've no shortage of money to throw at it and that's pretty much the bottom line. If they think Messi can help them achieve that, then they don't care what it'll cost and perhaps Messi likewise sees PSG and CL ambition to win their first, is his own best chance to win that at least once more.

It is the best league in the world at the moment, don't kid yourself.

Messi's GOAT status is solidified for me but it's very underwhelming to see him play in the French league. Going to one of the Manchester clubs or even Chelsea would've been far more interesting than flippin PSG. Just a boring way to end a magnificent career. I never thought he'd leave Barca but I'm sure any football fan wants to see Messi play in the best league available to him; yet he's chosen the worst. The only way this move is somewhat redeemable is if he bags another CL, he'll be lambasted if they fail to do so though.
