[Matchday] Celtic v Dundee | Premiership | Sun 8th Aug | 3PM

Not expecting anything from tomorrow.

Understandable that expectations are high but put quite simply, we are miles off a finished article. Miles off it.

Too many unknown quantities (new signings, new system, new manager et al) , not to mention the utter calamity to that we deign to call a defence.

Don't get me wrong, there's every reason to predict we * horse this mob. But given that we're MONTHS behind schedule on a rebuild that realistically should have started last summer, nevermind February, I'm gonna go ahead and mute my expectations for fixtures.

At least until a few weeks AFTER we get our defence sorted and give it time to gel.

 

Happy with 3 points tomorrow by any means. As happy with 1 - 0, as 6 - 0, as long as we win.

 

Personally, I'd much prefer 6 - 0.

 

4-2 like a lot of games this season I reckon, as long as it's in our favour.

 

5-4 to us. Hope for a good game of basketball football.

No been on this site in ages man, be forgiven for forgetting this is a Celtic supporters site sometimes. Bhoys like Taylor, Ralston, Forest, McGregor were getting it tight last I read. Lads that absolutely try their heart out for us. Only ones I wanted gone were Ntcham and Bitton, and Griff can bolt as well now. Think we've tried enough with Leigh. Ryan Christie been our best player so far.

We will grow into this season under Ange. We will improve game by game, particularly with the crowds back at Celtic Park, while they stagnate and decline. Like everyone else on here, I really hope this is the case. All we need to do today is win, it doesn't matter what the score is, and they'll start to feel our shadow over them. We're the unknowns this season. Rangers are completely known. Dundee United proved that. If we can beat Rangers, or even draw, in the first game against them, it will have a compound affect, giving us confidence, while eroding theirs. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. All we need to do today is win. And win we will.

Last season was a particularly unpleasant blip. This season, our dominance will be resumed.

...Hopefully.

 

With the huns losing we really need to hit them 3 or 4 nil and start to make a statement, that said any win to nil will do

 

Unfortunately everything you say there is completely accurate. As far as I am concerned 3 points please by hook or by crook and move on from there with hopefully some defensive reinforcements coming before next weekend.

I know McCarthy probably won't start, but when he's up to speed I want to see a midfield of him sitting with McGregor and Christie in front of him. I'm very surprised Ange hasn't even tried the latter two in there yet, it's so obvious it would be a great partnership.

Please * a win and a clean sheet but with our back 4 im not confident that dundee wont score.but we will win but that defense needs gutted .bitton and taylor out please.any of our youngsters will play better imo.HH

I'm going for a 3-0 win today. I think confidence is starting to return and a clean sheet would do wonders for us. It is hopeful but also very possible.

 

Going forward we look like a threatening team once again. Defensively we are still very suspect.

Today we have a chance to make a statement and go above that rancid club across the city. 4 or 5 nil would be immense, but as other have said, 3 points is what matters so any sort of win today.

 

Lets get this * show on the road. Clean sheet and plenty of forays forward. 4-0

Calm down troops, we will smash them. Every week we seem to be looking better. I know it's early in the season but we have to capitalise on any mistake the scum make. Need to get ourselves level on points as well as making it two victories out of two before a relatively straight forward tie on Thursday. What can possibly go wrong
