UEFA Champions League qualifiers (2021-22)

Biggest surprise is someone at Celtic never noticed. I always imagined we had a room set up with about 10 guys on laptops everytime we lost a qualifier.

 

It should be midtylland gone. We should get a bye into Europa League, psv should advance in cl qualifiers and jablonec should get a bye to play az in el. It is too late I feel to punish psv by making them play us either in a once off knockout next week or two legs. We should also be given compensation for being unfairly eliminated from cl into el.

Wouldn’t get my hopes up.

 

Too much disruption to do anything other than a big fine for the Danes.Why do teams feel the need to cheat against us,especially in domestic competitions.

 

After reading all the news stories about this situation, it seems that the Easiest & Most Likely outcome UEFA will do is to give us a ‘Bye’ into the Europa League Group Stage regardless of the result against FK Jablonec, as it’s the least we would have got if we progressed in Champions League Qualifying.

 

I think we're really clutching at straws if we think anything will be done about this. The games have been played too so it would be messy to sort it out.

And let's be honest, we don't deserve it.

 

Don't care if we don't deserve it its just history paying us back a few times the amount of times we've been cheated. What comes around etc.

Personally the easiest way is to put us back in the group stages and declare us champions of Europe. #angeeffect.

 

Andrew McLean at Clyde news sport phoned uefa to alert them Celtic had potentially fielded an illegible player (Abada) in the first leg but was told by uefa it was their admin error on the teamlines

If we are agreeable to el group stages and compensation, then psv and jablonec will both be happy I'm sure to take a bye into next round cl/el. We go out tomoro night and a player breaks in leg in a game that shouldn't even be taking place.

I would at the very least be expecting the club to be putting some pressure on from our end before the decision is made. A potentially ineligible player has played a huge part in a game we have lost and in doing so lost access to a chance at tens of millions in funds. It's no trivial matter, but the way we are being run I doubt they are even aware yet.
