4 year deal for a 30 year old with an atrocious injury record...

Superb! Hopefully new Rb, New lb, Striker, and possibly another centre half. Be over the moon with that, though knowing our board I’ll be shocked if we even get another 2 in.

Only had one 4 week injury since his leg break in 2017, looks like those days are behind him hopefully

Most on their more active forum saying he was a decent/good player, Surprised at the 4 year deal..

Thing I did notice was he apparently got a hamstring injury that was caused by overdoing it on international duty. I wonder if he'd maybe retire on that front now?

Didn’t realise he’s played as many games as he did last 2 years. Think he’ll be a shrewd bit of business HH

Pleased with this signing. Some much needed experience if nothing else. And as noted above, played a good deal of games the past few years.

Some of you are miserable *, adding some experience into our side at the moment is not a bad thing. I'm happy with this signing. Another two today please celtic :57:

Don’t recall him picking up an injury since he came back in 2019 , good buisness if he stays fit no doubt about that.

security? prob on 50k a week what security does he realistically need.
anyone decent in these shores heads away to the states or oz for to settle down.
I think if clubs in the prem wanted him they would have got it if they were competing with us.
I hope he gets a lot more luck than over the last few seasons with injuries and he becomes a bedrock in the team - hopefully we see him in action soon need his passion for the away game not far away against the darkside of town

Don't know how I feel about this TBH...I get why tho with Soro still being pretty raw. He's quite a tough tackling midfielder and if he remains fit I imagine him sitting deep allows McGregor and Turnbull and maybe Christie to join in going forward and offers a bit more protection to the back 4 especially if we manage to get fullbacks who are able to bomb forward.

Because they were still under contract until 31st July, either waiting to see if they would be released by the club or signed an extension. * weird rule.

Not a fan of him but hey he’s a Celtic player will always support him, welcome to paradise just hope this is not the end of the reinforcements.

Hes played over 50 games the past two seasons at a very high level.

Don't think he's as unfit as people are making out.

lol lol overdoing it on intl duty - that Ireland team just huff and play tight.
must have been hurt in the swimming pool or falling down the stairs at harry Ramsden's.

in all honestly if he wants to do well id expect him to retire from intl duty not that Ireland are going anywhere soon.

50k at us or at Palace? If he's getting offered a 2 year deal elsewhere on a decent wedge more than we are giving him on a 12 month deal. No sane person is gonna opt for the reduced wage, reduced length option are they.
