It's clearly not an "Ange signing" as such, but it clearly says that Ange has very little faith in the keepers we currently have to tick it off. What I think Ange will see is the Hart is a leader which is something we're desperate for, even if he's not the greatest keeper he's still better than what we have.

I'm ok with it because I thought we'd give Bain and Barkas a clean slate, but those two had shut all over it in the space of 3 competitive matches and a few friendlies.

Happy with this, still a decent keeper and he will be a leader, We have a lack of these atm.

Very strange choice in that pep got rid of him while he was in his prime. Because he couldn’t play the way pep wanted. (The way Ang likes to play!!!!)
Proves again it’s not the manager making the signings

however the big plus is he is very vocal and passionate on the pitch. At the moment we have a VERY quiet team with no personalities
He will organise the defence and not stand just stand there

Even just being able to save a simple shot would be nice from one of our keepers.

Fully agree though, fairly sure Barkas is a mute and Bain never commands the box. Big Fraser instilled confidence in the defence cause they knew 9/10 times he’d save any shot and youd * yourself if he shouted at you.

Happy with this signing. Can’t be anything but an improvement and has a lot of experience too.

And Gordon was * hot for us that first season, he was the reason we got into the last 32 EL and albeit made an awful mistake against Inter but he was brilliant that season. Hope Hart can do the same.

Anyone saying the only issue with Hart is that he can't play Angeball hasn't watched him since he left City. His decline started the year he joined Torino. That was five years ago. He has gotten progressively worse since. He's an average shot stopper now who is laughably bad at attempting to save anything to his left. This is going to end in disaster.

The fact that he also can't pass out from the back is just going to make this even worse. Ange is *.

Better the devil you know...comes to mind.

Not fully sold on him. His fall from grace has been spectacular. Spurs fans glad to see him out.

Of course he'll be an improvement, probably somewhat of a leader in the dressing room with his experience which probably shouldn't be underestimated as its a young team. Feels a bit like kicking the can down the road and we'll need to sort the keeper position out again in a season or two though but the situation we're in we just need it sorted now.

    That’s a lot of us …. But it’s about improvement (hopefully)…. … and NOW.

We were glad to see Gordon out the door….

Ask a Hertz fan how they feel…

True although Hart has failed at pretty much every club he has signed for in the last few years. Not like it's been a blip

    Interesting point.

I was surprised when I heard it was 15k.

I'd imagine he could have made more, even in the English Championship if he had wanted to.

I suppose that does indicate he is willing to prioritise football over money, which is definitely a positive thing no matter how you look at this deal.

I really wanted Forster back tbh, but Hart will be better than what we have.
