With the exception of Starfelt, if I told you that would be the Celtic defence and keeper a year ago you’d assume we had an administration event.

If it’s not sorted with 3 or 4 signings by the end of next week then McKay should be gone.

He simply cannot be the best man for the job we need doing.

1993/1994 was * awful, I would say this defence would give that one a run for its money easy.

Any time there's a free kick or a corner we're * our selves, and any time a player runs at us we're * ourselves. So basically any time we need to actually defend it's going * up

Stats alone can be misleading. Last season we conceded 52 goals or something in 51 competitive games. We won one of the most competitive leagues ever in 1985/86 conceding 56 goals in 46 competitive games. And that was with a defence that consisted of the likes of Aitken, McGrain, McAdam, McGugan, Whyte etc in front of either Bonner or Latchford.

Any day of the week would take any combination of those over Bain or Barkas, Ralston, Bitton, Taylor, Murray and even new Bhoy Starfelt had a debut to forget. The sooner Julien comes back, the better.

But setting that aside, some of those Brady or Macari teams were pretty woeful. Could throw in Cesar's second stint team (apart from the 1987/88 Centenary side), who knows if it hadn't been for Paul Elliot (who was immense there for a couple of seasons) how much worse they would've been.

Defence is about right for bottom half SPFL side. Our shooting is woeful also. So wasteful in front of goal. The whole balance is wrong.

Worst defence, team, squad, feeling, not sure on manager yet but not looking great, coaching team, fitness, transfer policy I can remember...

In short this going to take alot more than one transfer window to fix..

We’re getting to the point where actual years are going by and our set piece problems aren’t being fixed.

But people will still insist John Kennedy should keep his job.
