I'm not sure he is better than Barkas. They're both unbelievably *. Genuinely hamilton level.

Difference is we didn't pay 5m euros for Bain.

The latter came here as a back up and for some reason is still being considered as no1.

I don't blame Scott bain at all.

The fact he is even being considered being as good as a Greek international GK with champions league experience is a compliment for him. That shouldn't be the case.

    We all know his level.

Precisely. Postecoglou is uncompromising when it comes to the tactical style, and Bain will of course, obey orders. He wants to try and impress. Gordon tried to do the same under Rodgers. We know how that looked like.

Square pegs into round holes do not go.

I really think it is ridiculous that Ange is pushing this on this team the now in their * state. It should be getting kept simple when we've obviously no got the personnel for it. A few times him and the backline were passing the hot totty to each other and it added to the embarrassment.

And that falls firmly at the boards feet. They allowed this to happen.

He wants them all playing his way though. Regardless of who we have at the moment, he wants them all to be ready to step in, if and when needed.

In an ideal world Ange would try and change it up and a bit, but, as someone else said, he’s uncompromising in the way he wants to play the game.

The board have no clue what are the managers they hire, actually like, in footballing terms. They don't even watch football. I have never been anything but a spectator of games on TV, but I can tell that a high-press system where possession is built from the back takes a massive injection of cash, far more than a pragmatic style.

If they never planned to back Postecoglou fully, why even bother with him, instead of someone with a defensive tactical mindset? The latter tolerates less investment. Just revamp the defense, but Ralston and Taylor are OK as second option full backs. Dembele could be the winger, if money is short. With Postecoglou, we must revamp everything, otherwise it won't work. I know it, you know it, the whole forum knows it. But the board? Comedy board, more like it.

That error from the cross aside he wasn't bad I don't think. Made 2 or 3 good saves in extra time and prevented a thrashing in all honesty.

He's quite clearly not good enough to be our number 1 but he's not the problem, it's not his fault our recruitment has been so poor that he's still our best option.

Better than poppadom wrists. Decent 1on1 save. Infact bar that dodgy cross not much he could do for either goal.

Whatever way you want to look at it he should never be playing for Celtic.

I think you need to look at his whole gzne , he's more than happy yo get involved in open play tippy tappying the ball about under no pressure at all ,
Goalkeeping wise unfortunately he never leaves his line bearing in mind this re look at the goals ,if he was able and capable of looking to take crosses into the box the goalscoring opportunities wouldn't arise.
Most people look at what the keeper does at the shot or as the ball goes towards goal as if he's done the right thing prior to that .An can't do basic goalkeeping skills ,ie take a cross or catch a ball out from his body , he thinks he's the "dogs" by looking like a proper keeper, endlessly taking uneccessary passes from his defenders.
I think maybe he should concentrate on acting like a keeper while in the goals.
Every pass at the back leaves an opportunity for error and that's exactly what happened on several occassions

To be fair he couldnt have been blamed for either goal.

He did have one clanger but also a couple of decent saves.

Hes not good enough, but neither are the other two.

We need a new number 1 and bain will play second fiddle.

Hazard can hopefully get a loan and some playing time.

And we should cut our losses with barkas

He did ok last night. That’s all I can say. Both he and Barkas should leave the club as soon as possible.

Was stood three quarters of the way across the goal for the 2nd. Awful.
If he's positioned dead centre he saves it.
    Lump of wood.

Agree thought he was at fault (not the only one) for both goals , hate to say it cause he's a * but Craig Gordon is saving at least 1 of them

We need a first choice keeper this week, then go out and get a half decent back up willing to sit on the bench, Bain and Barkas shouldn't be here when the window closes.
