Fair play to the boy he left it all out there played well, if he can build on that performance he might change a lot of us critics into believers.

I guess that is what you get when you have an actual fan playing for the team. Putting everything else aside you get desire. Sure he is gutted more than anyone by tonight's result.

Hopefully this gives him the confidence to show this more, either for us or elsewhere once Ange gets those in he wants. I'm guessing he doesn't read this forum or he'd have given up a long time ago with what has been said here about him over the years.

Actually played his heart out, maybe thats what Ange saw in him when giving him the new deal.
Saying that him and Murray were our best 2 players last night, says it all really.

One of the only ones who get pass marks. Showed why he was rated when very young. He would do well in a defence thats made to defend not attack. An old school, give the ball to the midfielders line up.

We need someone better to take the no. 1. RB spot. But, if Ange were pragmatic, he might entertain the idea of keeping Ralston for games against Rangers and other scrappy teams.

One of the best players on the park IMO last night.

And if the last night performances are anything to go by then we should be far more worried about the lb slot .

Ralston offered so much more than Taylor in every department. Not the long time answer for either fullback slot.

But at least Ralston had the confidence to try and take a man on when attacking and got a few decent balls across.

You can't fault him for trying. He's limited but the club knew that months ago. Yet he's the only RB we have.

The fact we’re lauding players for effort is a clear sign of how far we’ve regressed as a club. Effort shouldn’t even be debatable, it should be a given. The fact managers keep choosing guys like Edouard who couldn’t give a toss does nothing except send a signal to the rest of the players that they don’t need to give their all.

Ralston had a great game by his standards, but he’s still nowhere near good enough to even be a backup at Celtic.

Good effort last night but shocking player overall. Should be our 3rd choice RB

Said this previously but Ralston is no worse than Taylor and that's not me talking him up. Desperately need 2 quality fullbacks and whoever thought Taylor was good enough for us needs their head examined

The same person that recommended Boli, Laxalt, Duffy by chance? Common theme developing?

Played really well last night, always said (and always been laughed at) he has potential and isn't as bad as folk make out - compare him to Taylor who was again woeful

Always like to give credit where it's due, and aye he had a good game last night. Can't help but have respect for the lad, knowing fine well he's not wanted by the support and that he isn't good enough, yet getting the head down and performing for the club under massive pressure.

Recognising his performance and attitude shouldn't be seen as a bad thing, we all know he's not good enough to play here but it's disrespectful to refuse him credit for last night.
