    As a traditional left back I would 100% agree . Under Anges system of using inverted left backs it probably would be quite effective. That being said we aren’t exactly stacked in the centre of midfield either he’s probably needed there

    I think the problem with Connell and O'Connor is that they aren't physically ready to come in to first team football at this level. Too lightweight for defensive duties. That might be different if the rest of our back line could compensate but given we now have Murray in there adding either of those 2 would just mean our defenders got brushed aside.

    Agreed, but still think he is more used to/has more experience of dealing with the physical side of the game than either of those 2 and that is a big reason they aren't being considered. I could obviously be completely wrong and it is for some other reason.

    Takes a throw and can't control it when he gets it back
