    I assume it’s because he can’t pass a medical.

Aye he had some a lot of injuries with us, a bad knee. Must be seen as too much of a risk.

Always liked him thought we should have kept him last season as we were thin in defence and Duffy turned out to be duff he was solid most of the time.

He was always great when he played but was just out an awful lot. He could have definitely done us a turn last season no doubt he was better than most of the guys we had last season.

Saw a few people saying this on twitter, could be balls but I genuinely hope a club take a gamble on him.

We could have done with him now, weirdly considering he was always injured he's one of the only centre-backs really only Ajer the other who was available all the time in these qualifiers. Jullien, Boyata, Sviatchenko etc were always injured.

Wouldn't say Julien was always injured. He was bit unlucky last season

    Buzzing for him.

Far too good to be out the game completely even if his body is unreliable.

    Good on him

27 still a few good years in him if he can keep himself going.

You'd like to think he's probably made his peace with the level he can play at, or where he can play (* plastic pitches), hope he enjoys his game now and has a good wee career for himself.

Quality player on his day and think we will all remember a couple of moments very fondly.

The header by the number 5 after 67 minutes is a truly magical moment.
I wish him all the best.

Pleased he’s got a club again and I wish him all the best. I’ll never get tired of the video where he sends Kenny Miller into orbit.

I liked him. We were best under Rodgers with him and Boyata together.

That still freaks me out. Not in anyway superstitious but I'd never have let him leave. :43:

Former Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic has recalled the time he "blew up" Kenny Miller as he names his favourite moments from his Parkhead career.

The Croat left Parkhead in 2020 after winning the Premiership title but was out of the game until this month as he battled a knee injury.

Simunovic has since joined hometown club Gorica, and in an interview with a podcast in his native Croatia he discussed some of his Celtic highlights, including an emotional goal and a robust tackle.

He said: "The game against Kilmarnock that we played a few days after the legend Billy McNeill passed away. I scored to make it 1-0 with No.5 on my back.

"I can never remember such noise and applause in the stadium.

My second favourite moment was an Old Firm game at Ibrox when I blew up Kenny Miller with a tackle."

And Simunovic admits he'll miss the physical side of Scottish football, as we all as Old Firm games and the Hoops fans.

He explained: "It's a very physical game in Scotland. If there is no blood, there is no foul!

But that was good because it toughened me up compared to Croatian football. The emphasis in Scotland was on the tempo and when we played in Europe, it was strange for us.

"In the Old Firm games, there is no communication with teammates during the warm-up and at the beginning of the game because it is not worth it, you cannot hear anything from the noise and shouting. After 20 minutes, you can't say another word because your throat hurts.

"I was reborn at Celtic and they will always stay in my heart. Those people, those fans. It was a completely different culture, a different attitude of people towards the club and football in general

Celtic is there as a religion to the fans and the players of that club are above everything.

"After games, we had to wait for two hours and you would think everyone would be gone by then, but the fans were still waiting for autographs.

"There were days when I wasn't feeling too good and went for a walk in the town and Celtic fans would cheer me up. When I went to restaurants, people paid for my drinks.
