We have a guy who's great at finishing and on the ball, but only when he wants to be. He may well get sold (assuming his attitude didn't give buyers second thoughts). Another great finisher is unfit, mentally and physically. The third striker isn't exactly hard-working on the pitch, and after a decent start, forgot how to finish. Klimala should have stayed. It's not like we have a big tranfer budget.

The Celtic board have had previous on signing off on players that the manager just does not want, or hasn't a clue is being signed.
Shved, kouasi, klimala, connell, O'Conner, soro, to name just a few.
Managers in the past have had run ins with the board being unable to sign players they actually want.
Rodgers with mcginn being the obvious one. Put even Lennon in his first stint left claiming he had taken the club as far as they could while the board didn't show the same ambition.

The lead figure of the Celtic board has since changed, but the signs are the same currently for the new manager and CEO.
Players are being signed that the manager has no idea about, Shaw, osaze (or whatever the spelling, I do apologies I do hate not knowing the full names), regardless of sound bites that he had a look before okaying them. We've heard the exact same thing from other managers and it fits the same system that we know has * the club before.
The manager is unable to bring in his own players, we aren't linked with any player he has previously worked with, aside from two lazy links to mooy and Ryan, ever other link so far is based off of the same system that has been a massive cause for concern in the past.

We've had managers come in before and get a tune out of old squads, Lennon again in his first stint brought the "thunder" back and got a response, although it took some serious hammering at times and was close to being out on his * a few times.
Ronnie brought the roar, some players didn't like his style of actually needing to act like an athlete, but he got a response for awhile. But inevitably it ran its course.

Rodgers came in and brought total professionalism and respect, it worked, till he ran in to the same issues Lennon left the first time for.

Lennon comes back in and after experiencing Bolton and Hibs, is glad for what he deems an easy pay day.
Claims not to change anything and utilise what the old manager had set in place - Kennedy gets the top assistant job and is informed to see out the 8 in a row season by just doing whatever it was they done before.
That's where the issues of the last manager really stared from. Took for granted that things were left in place just to allow himself an easy job, forgetting the club had been ripped apart of staff when Rodgers left with them, and the club hadn't bothered it's * to replace any of them.

In comes Ange, who we all like and feel positive with his outlook. But we all know this routine.
He's going to get a tune for awhile out of most of the former players. Some will not survive it - as is football.
But he's already showing early signs that he isn't in charge of any signing, he doesn't know who's coming or even going.
He's not been afforded any staff of his own, instead the old staff kept on, which was already a skeleton staff after Rodgers had left.
Through no fault of his own, Ange is left here with bare minimum squad and staff and no real say in any outgoings or incomings in either department.

Forgive us all when we say this, but we've seen this all before.

I expect Edouard to be sold and Griffiths to be let go for obvious reasons. Ajeti needs to step it up and that forces us to sign another striker at least. I'd rather that situation than be stuck with Klimala.

I think the problem is if he'd stayed there would be no new strikers coming in even with Eddy sold. They would have stuck with Griffiths, Ajeti and Paddy. Griff will never play again is my belief but they would have said see how you get on til January with Ajeti and Paddy. With Ajeti as the only striker, they have to buy a new one. Also Paddy was never worth 3.5m, getting that back was a * send.

Getting £3.5m for Klimala was impossible to turn down.

He doesn’t have it in him to play against packed defences, regardless of Ange’s style he doesn’t suit that.

Aye I agree I really liked Klimala but he just wasn't the right fit for us he needed space to run in behind and to get 3.5 million for him was a great deal

He is the kind of striker Postecoglou would like. You're right on the space to run into, but that's not an issue with Klimala alone. Postecoglou will struggle against packed defenses, but at least the press would work with Klimala.

Totally agree mate, he would run all day and always put 100% shift in but apart from once or twice coming on as a sub his composure in front of goal was horrendous missed umpteen chances and had a touch like an elephant,3.5M for him great piece of business

AFL = Australian football rules aka egg ball
    NRL = National Rugby League

The AFL and NRL is full of Leigh Griffiths types who are often in the papers for degenerate * like filming themselves drinking their own urine.

Feel for Ange. Been in the door 5 mins and has had to make a deperate rallying call for new players to come in TWICE already.

Very naive comment, near border line * licking to the forum.
He may have had it ‘locked in’ as you say.
Listening to the overwhelming narrative on here is the Celtic board cannot be trusted.
The fact Ange is starting to agitate tells me everything we’re hearing about the club and board, is true as the sun is the day and the night is the moon.
