England are clearly a decent team but even the most blinkered English * should be able to admit that their runs to this final and the WC semi final couldn't have been much easier.

World Cup - Tunisia, Panama and Belgium (who beat them) in the group. Colombia without Rodriguez (needed pens to win) and Sweden. Then they came up against a good, but not incredible, Croatia team and lost. Lost again in the 3rd place play off against Belgium. They only managed to beat Tunisia, Panama and Sweden in 90 minutes.

Euros - Croatia (not a patch on the team from 3 years ago), Czech Republic and Scotland in the group. 2 wins and 2 goals scored. Germany, who have been a bit of a shambles for a couple of years. A rotten Ukraine side who were easily the worst 3rd placed team. Then needed a dive to beat Denmark in extra time.

They haven't beaten a quality team in either of those runs.

 

Tbh, I don't really care who wins on Sunday. Then you have a conversation with an English person or read * like this and then you want Italy to win 4 or 5-0.
