Big year for him you feel. At the start of the 9 in a row season he looked like he was about to make his big break out year the way he started and then injuries put paid to that. Massive potential and could be a really big player for us if he can just stay fit. I see him as having the ability to reach Shaun Maloney levels but has to get stronger and more consistent.

Needs a big season and no long term injuries..

Think he can really stake a claim under Ange’s style of football..

Make or break season for him at Celtic this year. Being for for it would go a long to securing his future.

If he can stay injury free and fulfill his potential he will break the Tierney fee. Both big IFS

I rate him, but if he doesn't cement himself as a regular this season, I'd probably look towards letting him move on. Has ability without question, but needs to do it consistently for the first team. Consistently being the key word there as we've already seen him perform well for us, including a derby.

    Massively..

I genuinely rate him as one of the best prospects to come through our academy in a long time but he has to stay injury free and toughen up a bit..

Has all the talent and pace to go with it..

I feel exactly the same for MJ. He is a breath of fresh air and love his attacking style. He can certainly improve but that comes with constant game time and the stumbling block for him so far has been injuries. Still excited about what he brings.

I don't think I've seen him in any of the training videos. Sort of suggests he still isn't fully fit.

Wee bit powder puff and can go missing but always rated the lad and was excited when he broke through. Abundance of natural talent. Unreal technique.

Unfortunately injuries got the better of him and having played only a small amount of competitive football by 22, I can’t see him being what he looked like he was going to be now.

Hopefully wrong but this really is his last chance to get some momentum and develop. Hope he puts everything into it, stays injury free, is given his chance and takes it.

I've never really got the hype unless he stakes a claim early in the season I wouldn't have him in the team

It would be nice if he turns out this Forrest has. Potential is there but seems like he is made of glass.

Aye it definitely feels like a make or break season for him. He's 22 now so he needs to be kicking on.

He's clearly got lots of ability, it's just keeping himself fit and having the right coaching.

Hopefully Ange doesn’t stick him up top at Ibrox, poor boys been left hung out to dry by previous managers doing that.

Tierney was a far bigger talent than Johnstone ever will be.

Potential in him but seems to have a lot of injuries for such a young lad... Sadly I don't think he will break through and become a regular for us unless his injury woes get resolved.
