And it’s not 50% of any fee! *

Might as well just let him go for free.

My point is the * rags reporting on * just add whatever the * number they want.

If its true and PSG have a large sell on whether on everything or the profit then it's not great going especially given we paid a significant price anyway, but if Eddie had transfered from PSG to another "big" team he would have likely gone for more from his background as Record goalscorer at their youth levev etc and from the good impact with us

It will be 100% by the time he's eventually sold and we'll have made a loss on him :celtman2:

That sell on percentage is rising by the week lol.

Sticking to my guns and saying whatever Ange decides, I'm happy with. I just hope whatever he decides is final cos if the board go against his decision regards Eddie, it's the start of a slippery slope.

Personally I'd punt him for whatever fee we can get, as we need people who are committed to the cause.

The sell on fee probably is something like 25-30%, which was originally reported and is still a bit of a *.

The 40/50% quoted are just for clicks, even if we didn't have Lawwell as our ceo we would never agree to that.

That was a typo from me, meant to say it’s now 50%. Stupid phone…

I agree with what you’re saying though

I doubt anyone has any clue what the sell on fee is, if there even is one.

The rags can do one, constantly change their minds on what the clause is trying to get clicks

I think he's staying now surely if there was teams wanting to pay the asking fee it would be done now

Sell ons are typically on profit made, not total fee

EWe should have sold Eddy to Leicester two moths ago, but Leicester being quoted yesterday saying they pulled out after months of negotiations as "Celtic were difficult to deal with in the Edouard deal, due to the 50% sell on commitment they had made with PSG and kept putting the price up when deal was close"

Leicester were happy to pay 15-20 million but couldn't get the deal over the line, so signed a "better player for lower fee (17 million)"

I think we are all resigned to never seeing Eddy in a Celtic shirt again, so should stop * around as Liverpool are now interested for a 20 million fee, to boost their attacking options for next season. All this politics is so draining - get rid, pad the back account and move on

I have read a few different things about why the deal didn’t happen with Leicester.

I have saw it was down to Edouard’s demands, rather than Celtic’s. Leicester also paid £23m+ add ons for Daka not £17m.

I agree we need to get him sold but doubt we are holding out for more than £23m.

A disinterested and negative player is poisonous in a dressing room because it spreads to other players. Especially when Ange is trying to build something new, fresh and positive.

Eddie can stay if he wants buy only if he shows the right attitude and commitment to Celtic. If he skulks around the place like some kind spoilt wee brat who didnt get his way then get him to * out of Celtic. If his attitude stinks I dont want him anywhere near Celtic, some of his 'performances' for us last season were disgraceful. Ange will have to keep a close eye on Edouard, if his hearts not in it show him the door asap.

I was raging with him last season but I low-key hope he stays if it’s genuinely in his heart to do so..

I couldn’t give two * if he left on a free any more. We won’t reinvest the money in the playing squad.

For example, we already had the unanticipated sale of Frimpong for a ridiculously good £12m (the boy was never anywhere near that value) in January.

Based on the type of sell-on figures quoted for Edouard, that unanticipated Frimpong sale is significantly higher than what we will make on Edouard.

Yet with those funds, there is still no investment in the team with the CL qualifiers in circa 2 weeks time..

To be fair watching the training videos recently is the happiest I’ve seen eddy. Seeing him laughing and joking. A happy player is a dangerous player and on his day he’s top class

Liverpool want him and willing to pay 20 million
let's not take the risk on passing up the Liverpool interest and keeping him, only to find he is disinterested again

Take the Klopp Kash and run!!!

There isn’t a hope in * that Liverpool are interested in him.
