Sometimes players just need that coming of age game to become a brilliant player... or he just had a brilliant one off game :56:

My Granny is a better option than those two combined.. Two of the worst players I've ever seen pull on the Hoops..

If we had O'Donnell and Taylor as back-up full backs, giving cover to two better quality full backs, I'd be ok with it.

He had a great game against England and I hope the boy goes on to prove all the haters wrong. I don't think he'd fit the mould for a Postecoglou full back.

He could definitely do a job for us but not the way I expect Ange to play. He reminds me of a Mark Wilson type of player lots of graft and wouldn't let us down but not going to blow us away either.

He’d probably be an upgrade on Kenny, Ralston and even Frimpong in a defensive sense..

We need better for first choice RB though

We currently have no ready to go RB's so I'd take him, hopefully big Ange at least has his name down on his list of players

The fact the discussion from a positive aspect is chat about back up and the fact he’s an upgrade on Ralston says it all.

Here’s a novel alternative, we just sign a quality right back instead.

Aye at this stage we need the first team starters.

We know Ralston isn't good enough at present, likely won't ever be (specially without proper coaching), but why waste time and money replacing him when that does nothing to better the squad.
Get a fit, ready to go Rb in the door and we don't need to worth about Ralston or O'Donnell.
Ralston would be ultimate backup failure, but would at least buy us time to seek out young promising talent.

I’d take O’Donnell, so long as he was coming in as back up.

Not for me. Massive thank you for the blows he gave the huns during his Kilmarnock days though. Helped massively with the 2018/19 and 2019/20 title wins. Not a fan of him coming here to play though.

He reminds me of that Paul Dixon that used to play for Dundee United. Mainly because I've seen them both, while playing for Scotland, trip over the ball then accidentally backheel it out for a throw in. Without any pressure from the opposition.

I think the board are softening us up for O’Donnell with the Ralston news.
