I don’t think they know what duties the director of football role actually entails.

So Ange and McKay meet up to watch a young Scotland team put in a great performance after qualifying for our first tournament in over 20 years.

Then the next day they get told that the football clubs gonna be run by a guy that quit the Scotland job claiming we'd never qualify for a tournament because we're "genetically inferior".

I just don't think we'll fully recover as a club unless Desmond leaves.

Getting rid of Lawwell was a start, but Desmond has to be next, even if we win the league next year we won't properly progress until he's gone.

Genuinely wish big Ange all the best of luck this year, he seems like a top bloke and a good coach and I love the way he speaks, but in reality he shouldn't have got this job, yet he did, so you'd think we'd try and properly back him right?

Ange is going to need all the luck he can get if he wants to win the league next year, putting WGS in charge as DOF is not helping him in the slightest. If we're seriously struggling with the DOF then put it off for now and focus on helping Ange recruit his staff, don't just hand WGS the job for the sake of it, he's not even done that good a job at Dundee.

Jeez... quite concerned about how Ange will get along with Strachan. For a start it will make it harder for him to sideline the son. But even worse is the inevitable arguments about players and strategy.

WGS: "Sorry Ange but we dinnae dae it like that in Scotland."

AP: "But it's my way...it's the way I always do it and it's always worked."

    WGS: "It'll never work here."

    AP: "Why not?"

WGS: "Because ahm Director of Fitba and ahm tellin you no tae dae it."

    AP: "Right...I'm out of here."

This can't be true it's too * backwards. Strachan is a dinosaur that would be a complete disaster.

I never really liked watching his team when he was manager but he got results. That's fine but now he can take his sons and * off. He's not qualified whatsoever to be a DOF at Celtic.

I'm excited about Postecoglou but he's no chance if WGS is brought in to be DOF.

Agree with a lot of that. What also grates on me though, is that Strachan spent the past few months doing club media coverage that was patronising as *, to the support. Basically labelling everyone as clueless.

Yeah I remember a comment he made regarding Dermot Desmond putting money into the club therefore he should get to make all the decision. He's a * sycophant and shouldn't be anywhere near a top level job now.

I seriously hope this isn’t true ... seems like it is though.

How can we seriously give Strachan the job? He did a great job as manager for us but he does not fit in with the direction we thought we were heading in.

Ange seems to be forward thinking, modern and playing a Bielsa type style of football. Him and Strachan might get on outside of football but when it comes to the football side they are no doubt going to disagree on nearly everything.

Strachan would never have appointed a manager like Ange IMO. How is he supposed to sign players that suit his style of play.

Also, it’s awkward as * his son is a coach, what if Ange wants rid of him? Just so much that can go wrong here.

I hope I’m wrong, but I’d be surprised if I am.

They almost had me...almost. The certificate of appreciation, nearly started to believe that maybe Ange is the promised one from the desolate desert.
Nearly started to believe I am a brain dead trumpet and nobody else apart from our Board can see the real world.
Nearly started to believe all our new Aussie friends and how much of a master stroke our * of a Board have pulled off getting the 55 year old aussie biesla that's won a couple of titles in Bargeddie.
Nearly bought the family tickets yesterday.

    I didn't buy it.

See if one more uppity * idiot fan tells me to back Ange and the club and how they are sick of fans complaining....brain dead idiots being used and abused like an old * mag.

Strachan was such a dinosaur that * Alex McLeish had to introduce analysis and sport science into the * national team.

Apart from that and us being ‘genetically inferior’ we’re looking decent.
