I know they try and peddle Celtic as being a "family" club, but this is just obscene.

So, you'll have daddy Strachan in a high ranking role.

This is starting to feel like the end of something at the club after this where do we go instead of grasping the chance to move forward we move a decade into the past employing a guy who's just happy to be given a chance and employ a full family cause of their connections to the owner. A club with no vision or desire to push the envelope feels like we are the last table at a bar at closing time

 

Another sign that we have no forward planning whatsoever. We'll just get anyone who we have either had at the club before or someone we know. No applications or job interviews needed, not from them or other potential candidates (of which their are none).

It's almost like we've looked at other well run clubs and realised that there are positions that would need to be created and someone in the boardroom has just brought up 'oh, I know a guy who could do that. Let me give him a bell'.

The blind leading the blind. A headless chicken of a club. However you want to paint it, it's * at best.

 

I really, really hope this is just paper talk.

Whilst I'm fully behind Ange now and have settled on his appointment, I don't think I could ever get behind Strachan as a DOF, if he's the best we can get we should just call it off until we can find an actual appointment.

Please, please just be paper talk.

 

So we learned absolutely nothing from last season.

Empty soundbytes of a new future and emptier heads in the boardroom.

Embarrassing stuff if this comes to fruition.

I saw Lennon say during his interview with Tom English that we had Ivan Toney in Lennoxtown but "for one reason or another, couldn't get it over the line". Those are Lennon's own words.

The question that is never put is: why do we so often struggle to get things done?

Couldn't get Howe tied down. Couldn't even get Harkin. Couldn't get McGinn. Couldn't get Castagne. There are others going further back. And you could even point to Turnbull nearly being signed by Norwich as an indication of how blasé things are at the club.

The fact is, we've been a poorly run club for a very long time. Even during our period of dominance under Rodgers we were going into important CL qualifiers, at various points, without a striker, a left back, centre halves.

Unprofessional, unambitious, incompetent.

This is just another manifestation of that incompetence.

 

Not the news I wanted to hear. Desmond still carrying on like the * * he is.

Means laptop will stay at the club for sure ffs.

Jobs for * boys indeed.

We'll never progress as long as moustache is there.

As McGuire said, what's the * point in that high profile recruitment company we apparently employed if the best we've came up with is Eddie Howe, who we contacted BEFORE hiring them and was on our doorstep, maresca and harkin who are city group links via the lawwell family.
Ange, again as a city group contact and now Strachan, literally our ex staff.

What have we wasted money on this agency for?
How * * do we need to be to actually spend money on something and not take a single recommendation from it?

Or did we ever hire anyone? Was it all just sound bites to keep the fans at bay a little more.
Much like "modernisation" gets tossed around now.

A new manager, albeit second choice, who has had to deal with initial outrage by fans to then be widely accepted, to the point there was some positivity and excitement for the coming season.

Now having the rug swiped from under his feet before he's even met the players or taken a training session.

Totally unacceptable for this arrogant wee * to be appointed against all common sense and the wishes of the fans the man cannot * stand. It's literally the worst possible decision possible at this point in time.

 

Tbf who says the agency haven't put a list together for recruitment and the board have 'filed' them. I wouldn't put it past them.

 

Surely to *, this is a perverted sick nightmare?!
Only grain of hope i can fathom out of this shitshow is, if he does take the gig, then he will not allow SPL talent to go to England like lawell did.

Reminds of of Gordon Ramsay's 24 hour's to * and back..

Doing a complete makeover and some wee Italian * from New Jersey starts moaning about the decor being kept as it's sentimental from the 70's..

 

We had lots of applications and names on a list, but once Gordon came to the front we just out them all in a draw.
He knows the city and what it is to win at this club, he was always our first choice...


We pray this is paper talk, but we know it isn't.

We leak this sort of information for a reason, it stop stupid not to be at least some truth in this.
