UEFA Champions League qualifiers (2021-22)

I don’t expect to get in the Europa League to be honest. No manager, many players leaving, many players to be signed and not a lot of time.

I can accept this if we make a good appointment of manager, otherwise it’s even more of a shambles.

 

We will be the whipping boys for a group containing the Armenian champs the fourth place team in Finland and third in Azerbaijan

 

Can we just close this thread. Champions League qualifiers? We will be lucky to compete in the UEFA conference league or what ever its called at this rate.

 

No biggy, Just beat Galatasary is all we need to do.
Then PSV, then Benfica.

No issue for Celtic who manage to see off teams like Ferncravos and Clus on a regular basis....

But if by chance one of these diddy teams gives us a shock, we get a 2nd bite at Europe and just need to beat teams like Fernebache and Alkmaar to get to the Europa. Absolute no marks.

But, again, you know just in case we screw that up, we now have a 3rd tournament we can drop in to, just need to beat Rosenborg, Maribor, Suduva...they have never been an issue for us.



I am sure our new Aussie manager who has a wealth of experience and knowledge in European matters and has been in the job for more than 6 weeks by the time these games come around, will have all this covered. Totally prepared for this no mark clubs.

Sickening that the Huns will walk straight into this probably and then qualify by winning the league nest season. Already streets ahead of us on the park but didn’t see the day they would be ahead of us off the park. Money is no issue for them now, what they gonna be like with CL money next couple years,

 

I agree we have handed the league to the undead next season and £30 million also and after the season we have had that's sickening and we might as well put under our club badge we are a shambles .

 

This aint happening,new manager a few weeks before the games start and most of the fist team gone or leaving....i feel a train crash coming on.

 

If the huns qualify for the champions league this year that will take care of some of there debt remember they have lost over 80 million if they don't qualify things could get very interesting

 

For us to get though any these games we really need the kind off luck the huns have had. Hopefully every team we play sacks there manager or have a outbreak of covid. It's only way I can see any chance we got

 

So back on planet earth we will get the hardest draw every single round

 

We don't know who our squad, manager or tactics will be so our opponents can't scout or prepare to play us.

 

We've been hearing this debt/tax/money issues for almost a decade now and yet they still spend money on players. It either doesn't matter or its simply not true.

 

I’d say both of the end points are true

1st leg - 20/21 July

Rapid Vienna (Aus)
Galatasaray (Tur)
Midtjylland (Den)

 

Draw today for this at 11am.

My preference

1. Midtjylland (I'd say 75% chance we progress)
2. Rapid Vienna ( 60% chance we progress)
3. Galatasary ( 30% chance we progress)

I fully expect it to be galatasary.

Worth noting, if we get through this tie it's Europa groups minimum whatever else happens.

 

No easy tie there although don’t think any of us want to see Galatasary so early on.Big test for the new manager and depleted squad.
