Feel like the only thing * talk about these days is VAR decisions

 

Surely as a neutral you'd want to see the right call being made then?

 

* happened with the stv player 5 mins of adverts randomly played in the 88th minute

 

Seems to have happened to everyone on the player.

Not sure if it happened on regular TV

* shocking coverage from this channel all week.

Brilliant win France they looked good tonight.

 

Happened on regular TV too.

 

Germany just aren’t at the level they were a few years ago, France had another few heard they never had to play through tonight

 

Well that’s the first round of games done and I have to say my pick, Belgium, looked most impressive.

Portugal and the Tally’s looked good as well..

France were good in first half but a bit more subdued in the second despite a couple of disallowed goals..

 

Germany seem to be lacking upfront. Werner is a nightmare.

Thought the french looked good but I cant stand teams just sitting back and hoofing it in hope the pacey forward gets it. They looked better than that first half

 

What a bizarre comment.

 

Germany have been * rank in all honesty. France some nice stuff but not amazing. Was expecting a classic and was badly let down, all the while having to endure the worst 90 odd minutes of commentary since records began.

Send that * McCoist back to question of sport, I'd rather listen to Gerry McCulloch and Paul Cuddihy ffs

 

Aye Germany looking a bit of a spent force in many area's..

They didn't really have an answer for France, even though France sat back on their goal and were playing within their selves for at least half an hour of that game. When they upped it they sliced through the German's and probably should've won by at least 3 or 4..

Still think they'll go all the way..

 

VAR takes the flow and enjoyment out of the game...it’s as if you can’t celebrate a goal right until about 2 minutes after the ball has hit the net..

Think if that happened at Celtic Park in a CL game - the madness of us scoring and then 90 seconds later the ref doing his jazz hands..

However, on the balance of all, it probably is more important to get the correct decision and VAR helps that.

 

Italy looked exciting, energetic and eighty up for it.

Belgium showing they still have something to offer.

England bursting a gut chasing every ball in the opening game thinking they need to go at 100mph all the time - expect them to burn out when they come up against the big teams.

Netherland-ukraine game was entertaining, but don't think the Dutch have enough to go the distance.

Spain dominated possession and every stat they could, bar putting the ball in the net. They need to find the goal scorer in the team and fast. Moreno really should start ahead of Morata.
They do that, they can go far I think. Will take a few by surprise.

Portugal game was entertaining, but more for seeing Hungary being decent. Portugal showing they have quality throughout, but if they allow Hungary to get at them, then I can see better sides scoring a few against them.

France and Germany game was good, France showing their counter and speed ability will be used a lot.


For me France are still the team to beat.

Just look at Marshall's penalty save in Serbia to get here. Waited to celebrate a moment like that..

Just imagine VAR said he was off his line and they retook it and scored then eventually put us out

 

It's no different to celebrating a goal and turning round and the linesman's got his flag up.

 

The offside rules are terrible 2 goals disallowed when the flag should have gone up straight away and the players should have been nowhere near goal. France happy to sit back and smother the German forwards who made it easy to do
