Aye shame kennedy never left before Rodgers came in. Maybe we would've won 4 trebles in a row.

    Oh..

I'd imagine both will stay front and centre from the off, then Ange will decide if he wants them or not. If he does they'll remain (obviously!) and if not they'll be shunted into youths/colts until they move on to something else. Don't believe for 1 second either will be punted

Do we even know yet the status of his arrival, as in, has he already touched down and started quarantine? Or is he still outside the UK?

The board will rightly understand that Ange will need guidance from someone that knows Scottish football inside out. That means there is a high chance Kennedy will remain, unless they have someone like Shaun Maloney up their sleeve which I would be delighted with.

Does Kennedy know Scottish football inside out?

The last few months would suggest to me he clearly doesn’t. He needs to go.

I think last season proved that the knowing Scottish football inside out theory can sometimes instead be a massive detriment. Or, in the case of our coaching staff, prove to not even be true.

I think we need fresh ideas at all levels. That idea needs to go. It won't take them long to learn.

I have never said he wasn't smart - we are talking about pragmatism (not intelligence). Rodgers is extremely smart but he wasn't pragmatic in Europe and it cost us.

I have read/heard journalists who have covered his career in both Australia and Japan say that he focusses almost entirely on attack and a lot less on the defence - no-one here is making stuff up.

I disapprove of the snobby attitude of a few posters on here towards Ange. Frankly, you are starting to come across as being as bad from a pro-Ange style - i.e. anyone who raises any doubts about him is stupid - well we're not.

He has the job so I'll get right behind him and hope he gets full backing from the club and the fans. I'll maintain that unless results show he's not the man for the job and I genuinely hope that doesn't occur.

However, as he is 55 and never managed in Europe - it is only natural that people are sceptical and will wait to see how he does. That's perfectly valid - if it upsets you - that's just too bad.

    He is actually very flexible

He only comes across as inflexible to those back home who see flexibility as a binary between possession based and hoofball

he is though very aggressive and might try and play aggressively against a higher ranked team

he really believes in whatever team he coaches

Scottish football isn't brain surgery, Ange understands football & will work it out Scottish football very quickly.

I’m actually quite looking forward to him managing the team. By the end of his second season I will judge him.

It won't take him long to work out that the game here is run by a hun loving SFA, is full of hun loving masonic biased refs and he will be vilified by the hun loving, Celtic hating SMSM from the first minute he takes up the reigns.

You're willing to wait until we've possibly lost another 2 titles ,possibly, missed out on 3 years CL money before passing any judgement?

Harsh as it is, if no major progress is made between now and the end of this season he has to go. If things carry on as chaotic as they have been up to January, then questions will need to be asked and he possibly goes before then.

How on Earth did you get the idea I was upset...presuming you mean me.

I've hedged all my comments re Ange with provisos - the biggest one being that he's never dealt with the agent / player contract culture in Europe. For me that's by far the biggest question hanging over his appointment. Most of my comments have been about trying to reassure the doubters that Celtic have, in fact, signed a very talented manager - but that doesn't mean he won't have a huge learning curve.

    Absolutely he will.
