Maybe worded it badly, what I mean is that a lot of fans wanted him to make some sort of statement, press releDe, acknowledge of some kind last month.
But there was many saying he can't do any of that till he officially takes over.

But looks like he's gonna now do that, because it seems to be in the clubs own interest now.

Ahh, I didn’t see any of that. Did he not make a statement when he was incoming?

I’ve ignored a lot of what’s coming out of the club because a lot of it’s just * bullshit

Although could be wrong.

Pretty sure he was announced as coming in early, then nothing else has been said to the general fans till today (generic piece about Howe from the club aside).

Mentioned it in the thread about the new manager. Both Dom and Ange mentioned a new club vision. Dom mentioned the modernisation of the football and non-football structures at the club.

If this is true. Then I would expect all the details are shared as soon as possible with the fans.

Because many fans (myself included) don't trust or buy into hollow words in a Celtic statement. Been absolutely no accountability from this board in recent times and probably longer than that.

 

Found it very patronising listening to him speak like he's pulled off a world class deal for Ange, when it's public knowledge that he and Lawwell * up a three month chase for their top target.

 

Fegus McCann knew as much about football when he dragged us into modern football.

To early to write him off. We need to stop greetin about whats happened and back everyone at the club the board included.

We know the gross mismanagement that's went on and were hurting still but this is a new dawn.

 

Speaks very much like a politician and seems to choose his words very carefully.

That interview was clearly pre-prepared so let's at least take him at his words for now.

He spoke twice about modernisation of the club, on and off the field.
Talked of evolution.
Talked about the platform and hard work already done (lipservice I assume) but forced on the issue that the club does need modernised.

Spoke with various staff, departments etc.

He and Ange have a * massive mountain to climb and a lot of faith needs to be restored, but for now I'll take him at his word.

But actions will always speak louder.

DoF announced, new coaches announced etc in the next week or two and we will start to see if they are truly taking this serious - or intend to do the same old * of just forcing Kennedy and Strachan on to Ange with maybe him bringing in 2 of his own and thats it.

 

He and the new manager deserve some leeway..

It's a fresh start, let's see what it brings.

It's not a lot of time they are going to get. They need to earn the time.
For now, we relax a little, 3 weeks and the other one is out the door. They have some breathing time to fix their * then show us all how true they are to modernising the club and being their own men.

 

Talk of modernising the club actually boils my *, and that's not a go at Dom or Ange, it's not their fault there's a job to do. When Ronny Deila came in there was talk about behind the scenes needing an overhaul to keep up with the modern game, diet/nutrition, sports science, overall fitness, and I'm sure that would have continued into Rodgers era keeping that sort of stuff to a high if not higher standard. Then we've just let that all go out the window in Lennon's time it seems.

There shouldn't be any need to "modernise" anything at the club, but that's how * far the people behind the scenes have allowed standards to slip.

 

Wait until you see the hotel. Big neon signs with #angeball all over the place. Modern as *.

 

We will see if actions speak louder than words in his interview and if Kennedy and Strachan are still here in three months he's just the same as Lennon a yes man .

 

So in 3 months, there still here, we made the champions league, already top of the league, is he still a yes man? Or is it you have an irrational hate towards them?

They need to go and if Ang is his own man he will bring in his own backroom staff or has he been told by the board Kennedy and Strachan need to be there and maybe one of the reasons Howe didn't take the job .

 

And considering the size of the mess they both have been left to clean up anything less just is not realistic.

Seems to be more communication and updates coming out of the Club.

Hopefully that’s being driven by McKay and is a sign of things to come.

 

To be honest, it is going to take him time to establish his authority and remove the influence that PL has at the club.
