Attacking football is in the DNA of Celtic, but we really need a proper defence.

It wasn't my intent, he was just the first other egotistical ranting nutjob that sprang to mind.

You know what? I’m at the stage now where I’ve accepted that the big fella is our new manager and I’m 100% behind him.

Regardless of what happens in this season, wherever we finish, I will not blame the big guy.

My expectations are at rock bottom. Not because of Postecoglou. But because of the morons above him that he has to contend with, that will reign him in every time he tries to make a positive change to the club. He’s coming in to work with two hands tied behind his back from day one.

It’s a huge gamble. Not my first choice by a long way. I’ll concede that’s because I knew nothing about him except he managed Australia.

I’m not difficult to please as a Celtic fan. I feel like I’m negative a lot but only because the people that run the club literally do nothing properly.

If this guy comes in, and he’s not an egotistical * like his predecessor, he has a style of play unlike his predecessor, and he can take some accountability unlike his predecessor, then I’m in.

Like the way he spoke, I already sort of feel an authority behind him, sounds like the type of guy where when he talks the players will listen

I still won't be fully convinced until I see hs first games and how he goes about rebuilding the team but if his first duty is to get rid of the two muppets Kennedy and Strachan then he will earn a lot of brownie points from many I am sure. Nevertheless like everyone he has my backing for now.

My biggest worry ais the first few games. He probably won't physically be here unti middle or end of June and I doubt he has enough time to implement nay of his philosophy into the team. Also he won't know that we are penny poinchers so buying players takes a lot longer here than anywhere else.

This! 1000 times over, this! For years on end, we've said it, and the Huns have just proved it... If we shore up the defence, at the very least, we'll be contenders again straight away

Talk of City keeping Delap in the first team squad for the coming season, if we were to get him it would be a real coup. So many first team players required that loans are going to be needed and if we can get a lad like this in then I’d be all for it. Leaves us money to strengthen elsewhere, back 5 need all first team quality including the GK, midfield needs a top player and the front 3 need players.

It’s such a big rebuild that not blowing our budget on a striker could be the key.

Very excited about this. Several risk aspects (as have been fully documented above) but also some huge potential pay-offs. He's been a winner and loved by the fans (eventually) everywhere. If he gets it right there are great times ahead in Lennoxtown.

Would not be surprised if Ange gets one or two Australian keepers - Langerak playing in Japan JLeague, ex Borrusia Dortmund first team under Klopp and Australian international. Same goes for Mat Ryan, first choice keeper for Australia at present, over 50 caps, has played regularly for Brighton in EPL for over 3 years, with Arsenal FC at present. Lawrence Thomas, member of present Australian squad playing World Cup qualifiers. Curently plays in Danish first division, was regular keeper at Melbourne Victory under Ange and later Muscat before being bought by his current club in Europe.

Langerak won't move, he wants to stay in Japan, that's the reason why he retired from international football.
Ryan suits the playing style and would be fantastic.
Thomas would be awesome, hed add so much to the change room and is a great stopper (that grand final) but hes prone to mistakes (see his last season in Melbourne) but supposedly doing very well in Denmark.

Ok , I will give you the inside running of possible players with international experience in the Australian national team and elsewhere and being the right age to be possible transfer targets for Ange and a good fit for Celtic.

Ryan Grant - without doubt the best right back in Australia at present.. Fast, tenacious, fit skilful overlapping defender. Plays for Sydney City FC. Established senior national team player.

Brad Smith - Australian international and ex Liverpool FC . Currently plays for Seattle Sounders FC, USA. Strong, tall, fast and hard running overlapping left back.

Danny De Silva - box-to -box nippy midfielder, young, skilful, creative player, perpetual motion. Plays for Central Coast Mariners FC. Currently in the national playoffs.

Ninkovic - creative midfield genius for Sydney City FC . Serbian, good character, very skilful play maker. A talisman for his team and much loved. Ex Red Star Belgrade.

Ulysses Davila - attacking creative mid fielder and very skillful. Scores goals also and a dead ball specialist. Mexican. Just signed a new contract to join leading national league team from Wellington Phoenix. Exciting player.

Adam Le Fondre - English, prolific goal scorer, centre forward, with Sydney City FC. A ' Johnny on the Spot' forward who scores goals regularly each year he plays. Uncanny sense of being in the right position to score regularly.

Hrustic - Australian international, playing in Croatia. New addition to the senior national team. Young, skillful, confident and a dead ball specialist. Midfielder.

Bruno Fornaroli - Forward, Uruguay, prolific goalscorer. skillful, nuggety, two good feet, hard worker. Plays for Perth Glory FC. Has played for Melbourne City FC also. Has also played in South America and in Europe.

Craig Noone - English, left winger, plays for Melbourne City FC.

Mitchell Duke - Current Australian centre forward . Hard working player, two good feet, scores many headed goals also.
Plays for Western City Wanderers FC.

The only obstacle to these players coming to Scotland would be not wanting to leave Australia. Also if they can get a work permit to play in Scotland.

Mat Ryan would be a quality edition however this is modern Celtic so we have a good 2months of chasing Fraser Forster to get told no. By that time Mat would have gone elsewhere.

Ange wont be raiding the A League. Mitchell Duke is no where near good enough to play for Celtic. The best players in the A League end up moving quickly, such as Tom Rogic direct from Central Coast to Celtic. Le Fondre is currently playing in India & is 35 - wont happen. Its one thing to talk up Australian football, but the quality players in our domestic competition leave after 1-3 seasons, a career in the A league means you have limitations are have found your level of football. We do produce some quality players, but be realistic honest about Australian football. This isnt cricket remember. Most aussie footballers are fish out of water at a higher level.

Matt Ryan's loan spell at Arsenal ended & his situation with Brighton is cloudy. I can see Ange atleast speaking to Matt Ryan. Degenek at Red Star Belgrade would be wrothy, and he also played in Japan under Ange. Ajdin Hrustic who got some game time with Eintracht Frankfurt who finished 5th in Germany & is still only 24 - probably the best young prospect in Australian football.

If Ange starts drafting in players form the A League, then its the beginning of the end. I actually think he will sign more Asian players than Australians. Infact I don't think he will bring in any aussies. He needs to be very careful about recruitment, he is managing Celtic and shouldnt turn the club into an aussie boys club.
