I really hope Ange comes in and doesn’t trust a word this guy or strachan says.

Exactly that's why we were short of managers wanting the job .

It's hard to argue against the theory when they are still here and their contracts weren't terminated at the end of the season.

ffs not a single player really improved in the last two years. Isn't that enough to show that this guy is as useless a coach as a manager ? Even Frimpong who was good when breaking into the team stagnated last season.

He's been associated with success and failure, i still would like to know what the guy actually does, what his role is supposed to be within the coaching staff. :43:

Had plenty of time to show what he was all about after Lennon left and arguably things got worse. There definitely wasn’t any improvement.

He didn’t try any new ideas or attempt to put his stamp on things. Which suggests he was on the same page as Lennon all along.

Good bye and hold the door for Strachan on your way out.

Had his big chance, in a no pressure environment, and bricked it. Just a copy and paste of Lenny failures.
Cant wait to see the back of him.

Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy is reported to be considering his future at the club, as he harbours ambitions of taking the top job elsewhere.

The former centre-back has risen through the coaching ranks after his career was cruelly cut short by injury, and stepped into the breach after Neil Lennon 's departure in February.

Kennedy took charge of 10 games and will oversee the start of pre-season while new manager Ange Postecoglou completes his quarantine period after flying in from Japan.

But according to the Daily Mail the 37-year-old is considering his long-term future at Celtic.

The club are happy for him to stay on as assistant manager and Postecoglou is in no rush to bring his own staff over to Scotland with him.

However, Kennedy has ambitions of becoming a manager in his own right and could look to move on and seek a top job elsewhere

A firm fixture at Parkhead, the former Scotland international has worked under Ronny Deila, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon as he learned his trade.

Kennedy could well stay on for another season to work alongside Postecoglou but is open to options elsewhere

That article frightens me... Basically saying he wants to move on but if he doesn't get any offers which is probably likely he will hang around for another year...

Also absolutely no word about Ange bringing his own staff..

Kennedy GTF and sort it out Ange...

Sorry, this is a late reply bud.

"Hid" as in he stood beside/behind Lennon all season, offering nothing, doing nothing. Happy to stand in the background and let Lennon take the flack while he hid in the background as much as he could trying not to be seen as part of the failure. But then goes on to take the side for 10 games and (for me) proves he was every bit as poor as Lennon.

Sorry mate, never seen an assistant manager come out and take the flack for a struggling manager.

And I still say coaching and being a manager is a different job.

Think he's been told he can stay at the club as a coach not assistant

I know it's been mentioned before but, what the actual * is it that he coaches? It's certainly not the defence as it has been dreadful. We can't defend high balls, corners, set pieces etc. * me, we can't even take a throw in . He also has no tactical awareness and he stubbornly stuck to the same ineffective and predictive line ups in his brief stint as manager. So, in a nutshell, get him to * and bring in a coach who can do what it says on the tin

I was one of the fans that stuck up for Kennedy when he was getting abuse. My opinion was nobody knew how much input Lennon gave Kennedy so he couldn't really be blamed as maybe couldn't change how Lennon done things. After watching him in the 10 games he had, my opinion has totally changed. Kennedy showed in they 10 games that he seemed to have a big input with Lennon as nothing had changed.

IMO if Kennedy & Strachan don't leave it's going to hang a dark cloud over Ange right from the off. The club must know this? I think if they 2 are still there somebody will have banners up in the first game against them & that will hurt Ange, as he has accepted them in his team.

I just think being a manager and being a coach is far different things and he gets abuse for reasons people make up.

Time for him to go definitely because the new guy needs his own guys but we’ve being doing it ever since Ronny flung him under the bus as a young coach, gave him pelters as the ‘defensive coach’ under BR when it was Kolo Toure (easy to mix them two up :56:)

I think there’s been a false narrative about him for a long time. None of us know how he is as a coach. And being a manager is a different position.
