Maybe him being forced into new management set up is off-putting for potential incoming managers.
Guy showed his true colors in his 10 games in charge, offers jack.

I think it’s bizarre that people write him off as a coach because he’s not a good manager, two far different roles.

It’d be like judging Artur Boruc because he’s * up front.

Depends on your interpretation of both roles. I think in the majority of progressive management structures, they’re very similar. Especially nowadays. Rodgers was the manager but was definitely a phenomenal coach. If Kennedy is to stay at the club, it cannot be in the dugout for me. He needs a seat maybe in the background. You can still be loyal to someone but know whatever they’re doing isn’t working and change them about. That might suit him better.

I don’t care if he stays or not, just know it’s different criteria. You can be brilliant at individually coaching a player but be absolute horseshit tactically and knowing when to change the shape of the team or make a sub etc.

    It’s different all round.

I think he has already proven he is a * coach as well to be honest. Thats because I think he has been a major player in our defensive setup, which may not be the case of course, as strange as that would be.

Couple of ex staff have said nice words about him, most normally do say nice things when they are asked about someone.

But end of the day, he was a coach here for the last two years and done * all.
He was interim manager for the last 3 months and done * all.

    His time is up.

He was part of a staff that won a Treble in that time. Are Treble’s * all now?

Part of, able to hide and be a "nice guy"

He got the chance to be a prominent coach, then the manager and clearly has been poor.

I don't get where the sentiment or the opinion that he deserves to be kept on any longer comes from.

He literally failed the club this past year, twice.

What evidence do you have that he ‘hid’? Coaches are a massive part of success at a club in my opinion.

I just don’t know how people can see what type of one he is. Doesn’t look like he does anything different from a myriad of others.

I think people will look at what he done while running the show. It never stopped him being a coach.

He will like for like Lennon with starting line up subs etc.

I said a while back I wonder if it was Kennedy running the team for a while before Lennon left.

Kennedy had the chance to change it up but never did. He needs moving on and we need a complete overhaul from top to bottom.

As much as I hate giving that mob any credit, but look at that * Beale they have. He is forever in Gerrard’s lug. It appears he is the one with the biggest influence. Compare that to Kennedy when he was number two with Lennon. It was night and day.

Still don’t see that as being a bad coach, being in amongst the players improving them. I don’t particularly want him here but people want to think that he has done zero in his time here, which I just don’t believe tbh. I want to know why people think he’s a poor coach and how they came to that opinion. Like the post above is judging his coaching skills off of his management ones. Totally different things for me.

As I have said, I think he has been the one responsible for our defence, and the set up of it.

Why do people think he's a poor coach? For me, two reasons spring to mind.

The first is he was part of the coaching team that watched our defence fail to defend set pieces for months on end and didn't fix it. There's no where to hide, a good coach would've stepped in and solved that. Period.

Second - we've seen virtually every player regress since Rodgers left. How much of that is Kennedy's fault or a combination of many factors, we will never really know, but it certainly lends weight to the argument he's not a great coach.

A good training coach need only be good at executing the instructions and methods laid out by a manager, clearly he might be good at taking training but as a coach and manager i think he is hopeless.

Kennedy is Jack *.... probably one of the reasons we struggle to appoint a 1st choice manager because they forced to work with the boys of the board.

Is there any documented proof anywhere about Kennedy and Strachan being forced on a new manager? Seems to just get repeated non-stop.
