Bullshit - he was a total thug who deliberately injured opponents. Don't try the "ignorant about Australian football line" - we all know what he's like as we saw him in the UK.

Frankly - only an Australian would ever call this animal an "exceptional player".

This is a mistake by Ange - I don't want this piece of * anywhere near my club and I think many Celtic fans feel the same.

I won't put another penny into the club if he's involved and I hope that goes for a lot of folk.

If Ange brings him in and things go badly - he'll deserve all the abuse that he'll get.

Well, I respect your opinion.

My main point though was about his football IQ.

Please believe me when I say I detest that hun thug *, but that doesn't blind me to his obvious intelligence. If that can help Celtic get back above Rangers, then * it. Let's use their own weapons against them.

 

Actually looking forward to him bringing in the physical toughness back in to the team. And with his own personality we should be a well drilled unit who fear nobody.

 

After reading, listening and watching alot of content about ange over the past week or so I definitely am feeling much more positive about this appointment and I am willing to give him time provided we can see the progress being made on the pitch but this is certainly my biggest worry. I'll never understand a manager who sets his team out to play against Barcelona as he would against St Mirren.
Seems to be a recurring theme with managers who play with this high press high intensity style... ie rodgers, biesla etc

If you offer me John Kennedy’s 9th appointment at Celtic for doing almost nothing or WGS coming back and those amazing interviews he gave where he told the media to get it up them, I don’t think you have to check on my mental health.

The worry you have should prevent any positivity from existing. Footballing style itself isn't something that wins titles.

 

He marks majority zonal from set plays or has done at Yokahoma which has its positives but for me is a very poor way of marking from set plays and shirks all responsibilities from players, easy to get around as well if the delivery is right and takes no real coaching. A well coached aggressive man marking system (opposite of us) tends to be best but we shall see, we cant be any worse than last season.

As important as the managerial appointment imo.If Kennedy and Strachan are forced on him then it’s only going to end one way,another disaster of a season.

 

Last season was awful for defending, so yeah can't be any worse really. Hope there is some real focus on this aspect as it sorely what we need. Sounds like the attacking part will take care of itself.

 

May as well appoint Muscat as well just as one wee last kick in the bollocks
