The * in the boardroom were signing players behind Rodgers back, they'll continue it under him so I wouldn't worry about his knowledge of the European transfer market.

Spoke to a friend of a Scottish journalist.

He reckons it's being announced today, with a strong rumour that Kevin Muscat will be part of the crew.

Like Ange himself, that could go either way. Muscat was one of football's most notorious thugs, but for those who could see beyond that, he was also an exceptional player with very high football IQ. Successful as a coach in the AL and has worked with Ange before. Hardest to swallow for Celts though - he's an ex hun. Never played against Celtic though as his penchant for violence meant his manager never allowed him to play the Old Firm derby - expecting him to get sent off in the first two minutes.

As a Celtic fan I don't want that hun * anywhere near the team, but as an Australian I appreciate what a good footballer he was and understand he will be key to imparting the Ange vision.

    It's a pickle...

No, no, no. He is WORLD CLASS, and has zero flaws. We've lucked out big time here. We've unearthed a * beauty, a real hidden gem. Asia's best 55 year old secret.

It was never happening last season. We are in far more of a mess now than then though, and that didn’t seem possible. Once Ajer and Edouard go, if our recruitment is similar to last season, we are well and truly up * creek.

Scott brown was a hun before he joined. Gerrard was a tim apparently. In professional football I doubt it really matters to them, its a job.

Thought Kevin Muscat chat was a wind up - that's honestly a dealbreaker for me - i'm away to support the Colts team until this nonsense is over

Batted off any Celtic talk following this mornings 1-1 draw in the league cup, away to the 11th placed team in the league.

Fortunate to get the draw according to the WhatsApp. Petrovic’s Consadole Sapporo dominated with a 5v5 press in the 1st, same happened in 2nd. Big Ange was unable to/reluctant to change it.

Won't be announced today. LSE doesn't open until tomorrow so it will be then at the earliest

IMO, that’s just Australians for you. Not a reflection on big Ange.

We could be appointing Karl Kennedy and this forum would be awash with Australians telling us how lucky we are and that he’s the next Bielsa

This is definitely my favourite ITK patter from this shambles of a season

For an Australian he was exceptional.

Pish players don't play for Palace, Wolves, Rangers and Millwall (although thugs do). I think he was also captain of the NT for a couple of games.

Muscat was a disgrace who shouldn't even be allowed to buy a ticket for Celtic Park

No relegation is not, managers have ups and downs and that’s his main down.

Tactics, coaching and his forward thinking playing style made him a stand out for other managers.

There is a reason Howe is now being looked at for Everton and Ange is not.

Exceptional players don’t spend their career at that level of club.

That reads like Kenny Miller’s CV. I’m sure he captained the national team at some point as well.

Muscat wasn’t exceptional in the slightest. He was a bang average player who spent his career going out of his way to injure players. A thug who nobody in football should be employing.

    He plays our style.
Maybe the players were distraught he was leaving.

Apparently he has verbally agreed to join us so that won't go wrong again...

Read the first line of my post. For an Australian he was exceptional and Australians (including Ange) still suffer from the old Australian-so-must-be-* syndrome.

Mind you, I disliked Muscat intensely. I can see how he might be important to Ange though.
