Unfortunately Postecoglou has come along at a bad time and his appointment is seen by many supporters as a sign of desperation on the part of the board, he will need to get of to a blistering start to win people over first up sort out a team and then qualify for the CL group stages no mean feat in itself. Then the start of the league can't afford a bad start in that although what he does have going for him is a board that are so stubborn and set in their ways they refuse to admit when they are wrong, so if things don't go well from the start he will most probably get to see the season out

 

I'm assuming 2 things here....

1) Ange is more or less going to be the new manager

But

2) it's nowhere near done because apparently this request with UEFA can take weeks to complete.

Which leaves me wondering what's going to happen. We need players in as a matter of urgency and we aren't talking 1 or 2. We need a solid 8/9 players imo.

 

It's just that the board doesn't do this kind of appointement because the see a genius manager it's more that it's an easy way out of their self made disaster.

I won't be enthusiastic should he come but if he accepts Kennedy or Strachan as his assistants he can * off right away. We'll see at the point where they unveil his coaches how good a manager he is. He better get the poisonous people out before he comes in!

He was second choice that's why. Our board are clueless that is why we are all worried.

 

We chucked all our eggs in the Eddie Howe basket, waited months, it didn’t work out. Now it seems the club are doing the same with our second choice. What happens if UEFA don’t grant him his Pro License exemption? The club seem totally unable or unwilling to take control of any situation, leaving our future in the hands of other organisations or other individuals. New manager should’ve been ready to go months ago, n now we’re in the realistic position of not having someone in place by the time the players come back from the Euros. Unbelievable.

As they said on ACSOM - if he wins his first battle - clearing out the deadwood back room management - I’m right behind him. I fancy he’ll tell McKay ‘that’s what’s happening, like it pal’.

I’m secretly hoping a deal has been agreed for Maloney to come in after the euros. Based on nothing but rumour. Would fit perfectly.

 

That risk and the eventual period of quarantine are the main reason I have doubts about him being the manager. Even if he is capable and does want the job it still might not happen as we don't get the exemption. I actually like what I've heard about him.

Given the length of time being taken around this, after the Howe debacle, it looks like those appointing him have pretty much * next season already.

 

I knew of Postecoglou from the 2014 World Cup, but I was more impressed by Hiddink's Australia in 2010, than Postecoglou's.

If this fall's through we know what's going to happen and Kennedy will be the manager for the rest of the season and starting to think this was the boards thinking all along and a * joke if it does .
Everyone of them on the board are a * disgrace and need to get to * and we are sliding badly into being second best for for a long time .

This is where I am. Basically accepted that next season is not gonna be ours. I actually thought we had left things too late by not getting the new manager in at the beginning of January at the latest. Can’t quite believe we’re in June now in the same situation.
