Considering our current centre backs for next season is an injured Jullien, Welsh and Hjelde then he probably feels quite confident of getting a place.

 

I’d keep him for now. Get rid next season.

 

If we get offered £3m+ for him I would take it. Would be ridiculously good business and put in a decent sell on clause like always. You look at * like Grant Hanley playing in the Premier League and he could maybe get a decent move if he has a good year down south.

 

Seems he's away to oostende 1.3 mill

 

Bargain... if he has a decent euros that will fly up

Good not good enough

 

Yeah that Rodgers, the very same one that won a treble treble and went a whole domestic season unbeaten. Are u now arguing Rodgers isn't a competent coach. Deary me. Hendry wasn't good enough when we bought him, he wasn't good enough when he was here and nothing I've seen of him from playing for Scotland has changed my mind. Apart from playing with more confidence the same slackness is still there and this is off the back of him having this wonder season. If he came back here he would crumble under the expectation again and he still wouldn't be good enough.

 

He isn’t good defensively. As he proved again not being able to shut up shop last game of the season there, winning 2-1 with 20 minutes to go and losing 4-2 to miss out on group stages. It’s by far his biggest weakness.

It’s why Liverpool didn’t win the title under him and it’s why we got slaughtered in Europe. It’s why he’s just below the very elite level of managers in Europe.

 

Ok you've convinced me. Keep Hendry, I thought he was * before we signed, after we signed him and now but it was obviously his coaching at Celtic. Also Rodgers isn't a competent coach. Got it

 

Not what I said at all but you beat * out of that strawman you have there if it makes you feel better, we could aw use a bit of that.

 

Not bothered at all to be honest.

Lets be honest, if Oostende had paid us £1.5million last season we would all be laughing about it.

We agreed a fair price in the loan deal, I have no gripe with that - we look to try and achieve the same ourselves at times with incoming loan deals.

I don't think he has done enough at all to demand a starting place at Celtic, but he has seemingly got his head down to work hard and get some form and consistency.
Fair * to him and if he wants to give it another crack here, then sure. But I won't really care either way at this stage.

That is very unfair on young Walsh. Yes, he did get skinned by Defoe, but it was at the end of a dead rubber game that we had already lost. Guy has been solid all season.

 

The same Rodgers that had a higher goals conceded per game than Lennons first season back? Aye that one. The point I was making is different players perform differently under different coaches and styles of play.
To make the blanket assumption that he was * under Rodgers so he must be * under other managers is your call. Proper “defensive coaching” and in my opinion there “could” be a player in there.

I’ve seen milk turn quicker than Hendry.

So Welsh had a * game against them, so did every * on the pitch and near the end of the game with everyone’s heads down. What a * example.

Hendry was * mince most games he played.

 

Hendry had barely any experience when he signed for us, he seems to be catching the eye in Belgium so should be given a pre-season under the new coach, with Ajer leaving and Jullien still recovering we don't have many options at CB.

 

I believe the deal with Oostende is done & dusted, at least that's what the press are saying.

 

They said the same about Howe, and then the aussie.
