I cannot understand what the club are doing. We need to be building a squad and this lad deserves to be part of it. He's definitely a better player now than when we loaned him out.

How * he was is something I'm not arguing about. I agree with you.
But maybe his time on loan has improved him. He has received very good reviews from the Belgian press. It really doesn't matter anyway as supposedly the deal is done & he is sold to Oostende.

Didn't even know Scotland were playing. Good to hear Steve McClaren getting some commentary work.

he played well for a mid level side that’s not expecting much.

At least we will get back what we paid for him.

Proper coaching, Rodgers was his manager for a period of time. He is not good enough for Celtic or at a club where the level of expectation is high week in and week out.

We are better he is far away from us to be fair cause he is *.

It's a clause in his loan contract they can buy him for about 2m at the end of it so we don't have any say in keeping him. It's a common thing to be fair and we'd of bitten their hands off for 2m when we loaned him out

Would he have done a better job than duffy?
    I think he would have

But yes....glad hes getting his career sorted and glad we are minus a player who was an odd signing

He still has to agree to the sale.
If we tell we want to give him another chance with a new manager, maybe even an extra year or 2 on his contract he may well decide to stay with us.

Given how dirty football dealings are, we can even say Burnley are going to offer 6 million with a lot more wages and a big signing on fee if he comes back to us and then moves there, pretty sure he would take that also.

Honestly I don't think he would have done better than Duffy. Hendry needed somebody to help guide him, the defence has looked shaky for years here we just scored plenty to counter that.

Looks like that's what Oostende have offered, sign with us & have a say on where you go. We are not talking big money here but Oostende could make 6 to 8 million on him. Clever piece of business by them !!!
For a club like Oostende in the Belgium League this is a good profit.

Can't rate him other than what he showed at Celtic as Ive not watched him enough, but he's getting decent press, plus called up so can't be doing too bad.

Scored a good goal, but as a defender the guy is still a liability.

The loan move to a decent standard of league was exactly what he needed, that experience is invaluable, whether he's good enough to make the grade here remains to be seen. He should get a pre-season to show what he can offer going forward, I would say he's a better option than Welsh who got turned inside-out by a fourty year old Jermain Defoe.

Rodgers bought him & he was quite good at that coaching stuff but Hendry was pish for him and barely featured.

I'm not saying he is the next VVD but defenders quite often take longer than forwards to learn the game. If he ends up in the Premier League with solid coaching he could develop into a decent player.

The same Rodgers that played attacking football against even the Europe’s elite? Pretty sure a coach (not John Kennedy, who was also there when Rodgers was there) who takes the defensive side of the game into account would make young jack into a competent centre half
