Right had to ask today ! , Apparently the bull is a happy docile bull and has no problem sharing his field with his off spring ( normally bulls never meet their young I was told ) the black one is a daughter a year old and she will join the dairy herd when she is old enough .
The second picture is 2 wee calves sleeping in the long grass , born this year .

Another brilliant episode of Spring Watch Tonight, that fight to the death between the Female Kestrel and a Male Hobby was unreal, totally unreal!!
Great seeing Golden Eagle,Ptarmigan,Mountain Hare and Ring Ouzel up in the Highlands,4 species i more than love seeing when i go up there.
Also on the first episode i spotted a Mediterranean Gull among the Black Headed Gulls,at last Gillian mentioned them,i thought they surely must be keeping that in Reserve:biggrin:

A few from the weekend, we spent Saturday on Glen Easky Bog turning our turf, i don't think i've experienced anywhere outside so quiet, no traffic, no aircraft, very little birdsong apart from the odd Skylark call, we literally had the Bog to our self for around 2 hours before we saw another person.

It must be a couple of years since i last saw a pheasant, this fella was strutting his stuff on sat morning but i had to take the pic through the van window, the wee rabbit got into an awful panic, he couldn't find a clearing in the hedge and ran in front the van until he found a gate he could get under.
