Eddie Howe - is he the new man?

Yeah he doesn’t have allot of good to say about Howe

 

Basically saying no manager should be picking their own DOF

 

What did he say I missed that?

 

No sure mate, been talk of him wanting Richard Hughes for ages but seen as our club don’t want to tell us * all, we can only go by what we see in the rags. There’s a article on the daily record app by the former crystal palace owner.

 

Didn’t hear the interview with Jordan but like Prof said seems to have been about the DOF

Had a go at him for not going through with it because Richard Hughes didn't want to come.

 

with no dof in place ,why would howe put himself in the position of having to work under someone who he doesnt know who could undermine him at every turn or get rid of him.such a backward way to do things ,a club like no other

 

Eddie Howe was basically not up for the challenge of managing a club that is expected to win every game each week. he clearly didn't believe in himself or his abilities to take the obvious next step in his career and manage a club that is an international brand and has the potential to improve dramatically in European competition. He obviously knows his level is Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth or Crystal Palace. You really have to have the stones to manage a club like Celtic. Best of luck to him for his next relegation battle.

 

There's no way Howe got "cold feet" or "bottled it", he simply said * you when our board altered something that they had previously agreed upon. All the obvious questions would've been asked early doors.

He simply wouldn't have remained interested all this time tonjust bottle the biggest job he'll probably ever have.

Something stinks big time about the collapse if the deal but I'd bet my bottom dollar that our board are to blame.

 

If what happened at PL's house had any bearing on Howes decision then I gotta admit I don't blame him. He has children and who the * would want to put there kids in a potential situation like that?

However I still think the board baulked at the cost of buying out the contracts of the backroom staff Howe wanted and tried the old "we tried but....." * and offered him Kennedy and Strachan as back room staff.

 

The board are incompetent. But he 100% bottled it.

Realistically the manager/head coach should not be picking the DOF. In what other line of work would you hand pick your line manager? It's illogical

The DOF should have been in months ago though. Scaling up the infrastructure of the club and sourcing our next coaching team, scouts, analysts etc.

The fact that we're 7 weeks away from Champions League qualifiers with neither in place is absolutely hoachin'

 

Rumours on twitter so probably alot of pish that he's going to his boyhood favourites Everton. Ancelotti going to Real Madrid

 

As each day goes by without anyone being appointed I have the fear this * board will leave Kennedy in charge .

 

Board were incompetent in backing a candidate for three months and were left hanging while all other candidates were signed up. Board were. Incompetent in waiting all out for Howe to appease the fans and get them off their back. That said Howe bottled it I'd say for a long list of reasons
