You bet it if its the Ange, JK and Laptop are retained in the roles. Then it's back to where we are last season. Same nodding lap dog, taking the scraps and being obedient for their pay masters.

It does nothing to resolve issues such as abysmal and head scratching transfers being forced on them. Youth integration towards the first team squad, player development. These are long term strategies.

That video of playing looks decent yeah absolutely, but you could look equally and find a 5 calamitous ones for every good one of defending that puts him 36pts behind league leaders. Can you imagine our defence trying to play like that. We're no where near ready for that.

A couple of dodgy results and the atmospheres toxic and thru little fault of his own. The relationship between fans and the board is broken down and irreparable. This appointment drives more distance and discord between us.

I was ecstatic at the time, because it looked like it came from a serious journalist and didnt think the mirror would be making it up, but alas :55:

It's the reason why I'm not fully worrying about this Ange fella yet, as even with howe the media continually ran with the story that "he's set to be appointed next week" and most of the reports, bar the telegraph, are basing this guy getting appointed purely on the bookies odds.

So Japan is on the Amber list, meaning 10 day quarantine and he doesn't have the coaching badges for Europe. This brilliant. We're a laughing stock. :56:

If it's true he doesnt have the necessary coaching badges, can we even legally appoint him?

Tin hat time for me troops. After much deliberation, I've settled on accepting the fact that Roy Keane may be worth the gamble (dependent on who the coaches are).

It's easy to look at his record as manager for Sunderland etc and decide that management isn't for him. But I would query that by asking this; is a man renowned for demanding the highest possible standards from those around him, best suited to an interior outfit within the country they play in? I think not.

Would a man renowned for demanding the highest standards from those around him, be best suited to a club that has been extremely successful on the back of working to the highest possible standards? Maybe.

Hypothetically, if Roy Keane was to come in as DoF, bringing with him Damien Duff as head coach, and whatever other staff they choose, would it be a stick on to fail? Am not so sure.

Likewise, if Martin O'Neill was brought in as DoF, with Keane as manager and Duff as coach, is that a stick on to fail? Again not sure.

What I am sure of is if we bring in some unknown, untried guy with no stature in this country he will get ripped apart. You all know exactly what I mean, we'll be even more of a laughing stock than we are now.

Compare that scenario to having Roy Keane on media duties. Of course not the most intelligent speaker but has fire in his blood and would unwavering stick up for the club against the masonic hun * who have a grip on football in this country, which to me is as important as any other issue we care to debate on here.

We have all been clamouring to get back to the coaching standards or Rodgers but I think after Lennon's tenure that whole setup is now completely dismantled. I think we need to forget about the dream of having that level back for now, it's something that is going to have to be gradually worked on over a few years, and preferably with the club under new ownership and with a new board.

But right now, at this precise moment, we need to put a flag in the ground and start fighting like *, because everything that has happened has absolutely crushed our reputation. We desperately need people willing to stand up and be * aggressive in the face of the * we're gonna be facing, and I think Roy Keane could be that man.

Long term? We need to move into a modern setup with all the bells and whistles. But this season we need to go to war. I don't think even Eddie Howe would have been up for this kind of fight.

Yes, but we need someone who does for European competitions. John Kennedy however does.
