Celtic have somehow managed to make a terrible situation worse.

No well-run club or competent business people would leave themselves wide open to this level of embarrassment and scrutiny.

How was Howe allowed to lead us down the garden path for 3 months? Did the club not at any stage discuss the possibility that Howe might not be able to get his preferred coaching staff and what would happen in that scenario?

There is so many failings, once again it it negligence of the highest order.

All that time we had to restructure, plan and invest ahead of next season is gone. We are back to square * one and the season starts in the matter of weeks.

Lawwell leaving only scratches the surface. We should not rest until Desmond is gone too. As for McKay, this is the worst possible start and one he might not recover from.

 

Wouldn't surprise me if they leaked this to get a bit of excitement when he is hired, since we've all been waiting on him being announced for months now.

That's what I'm hoping now.

 

For me its not just the fact Howe isn't coming but more that we've wasted 3 months of time towards next season, on top of what we wasted with Lennon from November..

The club has been in limbo for what feels like a * eternity..

Well maybe a tighter budget would work better for him seeing as he is a man who spunked 15 million on Jordan Ibe and 19 million on Solanke.

Would deffo take him at this point. He took the saints out the ashes with a shoestring budget compared to our squad.

There is a situation when having successive bets pay off....you take higher risks. Celtic had the money, the success .....and they thought a high risk appointment like Lennon again would work, they also took a bigger risk here putting all their eggs in one basket with Howe hoping it was a done deal...

It's clear the transfer budgets aren't up to scratch.


Although a faint glimmer of hope is that this is a PR game and celtic will still announce him saying they rescued it against all odds....faint faint hope however.
