UEFA Champions League qualifiers (2021-22)

I don't think it's impossible but it isn't likely. Am I right in saying if we get to the 3rd round we're guaranteed group stage football?

Europa National Conf, here we come.

 

Given the overhaul required, the qualifiers are likely a write off in my opinion. I'll be content if we get to the Europa League group stages.

 

I gave up on the possibility of us navigating these qualifiers a while back.

In normal years it's a hard enough task and that's normally through the Champions + Seeded route. This year when we're in a state of flux with no manager at the moment, players to be leaving and players to come in, even the optimists will be doubting.

The rebuild we have on our plate is absolutely massive and winning back our League title is the priority. Europa League if we do well and no Europe at all if we don't, are the 2 probable outcomes.

 

We won’t be in the champions league this season.

We will get embarrassed once again due to the massive rebuild that’s needed.

Do we need to win a play off game to get into the Europa if we get knocked out the champions league qualifying?

if that’s the case we will be lucky to get into Europe full stop.

 

Wouldn't be as pessimistic as most, Howe in, few new players, current players getting decent coaching, new manager feel good factor. Some Fans back in. If we take it each round and get a bit of luck with the draws along the way we have a decent shot

The non champions route is a tough ask at the best of times and we could get in the 2nd round psv endhoven or Slavia Prague and that's just that round and it's looking at best Europa League as the rebuild is massive .

 

Think we will breeze it.

 

We can’t get either of those teams, they’re seeded in second round like us, we can face either rapid Vienna, middtjtlland or galatasaray in our first match.

 

Just remember guys, today is the anniversary of Lisbon. It was specifically a tournament for each country's Champions, not like today's competition, which is one run for the rich clubs of the big 5 leagues specifically for the rich clubs.

 

Can’t wait to get pumped out of this

 

I’d put a bet on us being winners of that tbh we are I a transitional pierod just now and can see us falling into that comp then quickly pick up speed once the players are in place

Theirs 3 competitions and quietly confident Celtic will have European obligations of so sort for quite sometime

You do know the likes of Spurs, Roma and Villareal, Rennes and Feyenoord are in this?

 

Tottenham will field a youth side and Rennes feyenoord don’t scare me villareal if they win the Europa this year will be champions league and jury out on how mourinho will approach the competition

Livingston, hibs and Aberdeen away scare me lol

 

To be fair though, if thats the calibre coming in to it from those leagues, I don't much fancy us on recent European form to do well against whoever else would show up.

I assume there is also a drop down option from the EL as well after the group stages? Could be wrong.

 

If we're lucky.
