He looks good and is willing to rough it up a bit.

Mcgregor was at Notts County in league one, then game back and was a regular for us.

If we loan these young players out and they do well they need a chance.

Tranmere are very poor going forward. Would rather he was a bit more eager to get further forward but that could be the instructions he's getting. Certainly when I seen him for Ireland he has been lot more mobile. He didn't do much wrong and his first touch was the best on the park. At one point mid second half he was given a hospital ball on the sideline that he has to volley back into the feet of spearing.

Exactly what I was thinking and I have to say of all the young lads we have away on loan I feel that Lee O'Connor might be a bit under the radar so to speak. He will be one to watch for me for sure once Howe is in place and pre-season gets going especially given how completely up for grabs the right back slot is for next season both as a starter and a back up.

Think he’s fast enough for what we ask of our RB’s? Can see him being used more as a holding midfielder if anything here; played it quite a few times this season hasn’t he. But great he can play a few roles, we’ll need a lad like that this year

Always dangerous that for a young player, can end up being moved about too much and not learning a position inside out.

Agree but for him to get into our side (even with the rebuild) I think being versatile will be best for him

When Howe/new manager is finally announced I’m sure all the players including youth and loanees will be appraised over a few weeks.Definitely talent there.

Mainly because we are utterly useless. Worst Irish team since the early 70's.

It's a valid question on his speed. Honest answer I don't know. My thoughts on him as a possible player for us next season are more at this point as the regular back up at right back rather then he is the guy there next season. We clearly need to sign a quality right back. Lack of width was a major problem for us last season and the poor play from both sides at full back was a big part of that.

Very poor squad but a lot of talent on the horizon. Could have a very big and good quality players to choose from in few seasons.

He's not frimpong quick but I have seen him eager to get forward, certainly quicker than Taylor and Kenny. Although he looked very conservative in that regard anytime I saw him for Tranmere. Coleman is doubtful with injury so he could get game time for Ireland in the two games after Matt Doherty.

We’ve a * team these days mate but tbf to the lad he’s done well to get in. Right back is the only position we are actually strong in.
