Potential Manager Suggestions?

Only thing I can think of is that Bournemouth have asked celtic/ howe not to announce anything until after thier season is over because they dont want speculation around thier own backroom staff whilst going through the playoffs. Still doesnt make sense cause we are only hurting ourselves in terms of season tickets and preparing for the qualifiers. Or this story about howe still being under contract at Bournemouth until June 1st is actually true, but still makes no sense.

Why would we care about Bournemouth?
Speculation most certainly hasn't stopped anyway.
Even if it is for the coaches heads not to be turned - if it is waiting for the coaches, I think they will already know this. So heads turned or not.

Is it a contractual thing with Howe in some made up can't sign for another club bullshit that never happens at any other time apart from when Celtic are involved? I doubt it, considering other clubs around Europe are actively signing other managers still in a job.

Clubs no doubt leaked daft rumours to certain quarters of the media/ITK wanks, and are very happy to allow it to continue as it buys them a little more time without ever needing to confirm anything at all.

There could be some sort of stipulation which stops EH taken a job for a year in order to prevent him taken coaches and players away from Bournemouth

 

I can´t help but thinking about when Leicester poached BR in the middle of the season. Not much consideration taken then about potential implications was there?

One can but hope there is a well thought out plan here, not only regarding the manager but the incoming (?) DoF as well.
Celtic´s previous in such dealings doesn´t fill me with hope, unfortunately.

Why are the guys Howe supposedly wants still at Bournemouth snyway?

I rarely follow English football - even though I live here/there... but isn’t it the norm for the manager and his staff to all be shown the door at the same time with these clubs?!?

The longer this drags on the more likely it will collapse it seems to me.

 

His assistant took over and kept the same staff, although I don't think he is still there.

 

Its rumoured that they are getting rid of Woodgate regardless of them being promoted or not. I would imagine that would leave the coaching staff surplus to requirements anyway

 

You’re right and I don’t think many believe all the excuses that have been made for the club, respect to back room staff at * Bournemouth, respect for Kennedy, stock exchanges for Christ sake. Fans are just getting desperate and trying to make some sense of the truly ridiculous delay in appointment. Fans are disgusted at the * up of a season and this has just put the tin lid on it.

 

Cannae mind if it was on here or elsewhere I read that Howe left Bournemouth on the 1st August. It looks like he may well be entitled to some compensation and subject to contractual obligations which end once the season is done. Sure he is also tied to some TV work for the Euros tae.

If its Eddie Howe, then the club appear to be content with these conditions. He could/could have done a fair bit of his work in terms of assessing the squad and that already. Although it leaves other areas such as new additions and so on at risk.

I don’t get this Bournemouth stuff. So he’s just never going to join a new club if they get promotion and he can’t get his staff? Or he’s just not wanting to disrupt them but will 100% be coming? It makes no sense.

 

I think its more about Howe himself, rather than who he might take from Bournemouth.
