David Turnbull

Aye David - I'll excuse him as he has probably been prepped and put in front of the camera for this, but here we are with the excuse of "end the season on a high" nonsense.

Just that extra reason, as every * season, not to play and develop players who WILL be here for NEXT season.


So much for a good performance to take in to next season, can't wait to see Brown, Ajer(no offence to him), Christie, Ely, Edouard, Kenny all starting - they going to get some experience to take us in to next season.

1 goal, 1 assist and should've had at least 3 assists..

 

Don't know if it will be as soon as next season, but there's definitley going to be a season when he's just going to tear the whole * league up.

 

Guy has it, just oozes class. I understand that we do have many important positions to fill pronto but we need the right guy to play with him in the middle of the park, an imposing figure, especially with Brown away

 

If the rumours that Howe is all but confirmed as manager, and is assessing the team from afar, he'll see that Turnbull is the most important player we have. He could potentially be the only player that started 20+ games this year to survive the cull.

Dare I say it, but McGregor just doesn't have the attributes to replace Brown. I wonder if McGregor will still be a dead cert to start under a new manager. Tunrbull should be given the freedom of the pitch. So he needs the likes of Soro and a Brown-esque player behind him.

 

As I said before I’m not getting the hype just yet, if his promising early start to his career can be managed and developed by a proper coach then it does look like he’s a star in the making...again though I feel his fitness is an issue, but hopefully that can be improved by our sports science team and a decent coach
My only worry is that he is mismanaged by our boards lack of foresight in appointing a progressive coach...or he is another rogic, who can provide moments of magic but blows out his * after an hour
Time will tell I suppose, but he definitely has the character to make it (as shown by his determination to return from a possible career ending knee problem and finally earn his transfer to us at the second time of asking)

 

A highlight in a season of few, a hope for the future.

 

The team has to be built around him.

We badly need some pace in attack for him to supply.

 

And also some bite in midfield to compliment his attributes.

 

Delighted for him but the boy needs to add some pace to his game.

 

Na, he needs players with pace around him, an attacking mid like Turnbull doesn't need pace, bonus if he does but not essential. The wings and striker aye they should in our system

 

Now he's in the Scotland squad he'll be a consistent member for the next 10 years..

 

Needs to start for Scotland in my opinion. Fair * to Clarke for bringing in Turnbull, Patterson and Gilmour. All 3 should be pushing for a start in the Euros
