Karamoko Dembele!!

His talent has been obvious for a long time, but there's also a reason why he wasn't featuring for large parts of this season. I don't know what that reason is, beyond the rumours which are impossible to verify. If he isn't sold over the summer, then I'd like to see him given a chance providing the rumours about his attitude aren't true.

For all we now, it could simply be that he wasn't yet ready to feature regularly. He scored a good goal against a tiring St.Johnstone side, in a meaningless game at the end of the season, but could he be relied upon when the pressure is on?

I really hope we're discussing a new deal with him, boy is clearly very talented and with Forrest having serious injury problems this season, Dembele has a real chance of becoming first choice.

Problem is, if he does have 1 year left on his deal I can see us wanting to sell him, as I think we'd still get a decent fee for him. Hopefully once the new manager is announced we start securing these deals.

he is fresh and keen to impress.

he is still 18 - still maturing as a player some people expect him to be a 12 goal a season player getting MOTM every game.

with a good progressive manager he will kick on no doubt.

 

I don't know whats gone on but it could be many things, one thing I did think on Wednesday, is that he's not as little as he was, definitely grown a bit. Let's see if he plays tomorrow and if he's still around next season.

 

I heard that on some podcast. If true, fair enough if that's why Lennon froze him out - he's employed by the club and should do what the club feels is right for him.

 

Yes and No. clearly the club has not being do right by him employing a clueless manager who has not helped with the lads progress the last 18 months.

The club has had cost the 10 by doing things on the cheap and sticking by their yes man.

He is clearly ready to make the step up to first team football and wanted to stay and fight for his place. I absolutely admire that.

 

If Lennon wanted to put him on loan he is helping with his progress.

He has made a couple of sub appearances - not really a clear indication of being ready - a lot of randoms have done ok in sub appearances, who was Jack Aitchison.

 

He’d have had his place showing the right attitude. Like Frimpong last year, or Welsh this year. Or Forrest Lennon’s first season as manager.

Earning your place is the best lesson any young talented player can get. I sincerely hope he does.

 

Scored, assisted or won a penalty every game he had for us btw.

Done well on loan. I think he could still prove himself away from us.

 

Lennon froze him out from August last year so has nothing to do with a loan move to Queens Park

 

Welsh got thrown in at the deep end due to injuries. Frimpong was the same initially and took his chance.

Welsh came in due to us having no one else and done great.

Wee Dembele has not been given a chance at all.

You talk about the right attitude yet Lennon failed to play Turnbull and Soro until injuries and cause players where banned.

So I think your theory is flawed due to our former manager not having a * clue.

I’m not surprised he did that tbh Lennon told him one week he was training with first team he s turned up and only to find out they have day off and he will be with the youth team * farce if a way to run any team

They put themselves in the position to get a place due to their work on the training pitch and having a good attitude.

Talent isn’t enough on it’s own.

 

I fully blame incompetence from Lennon and co for his lack of game time. Pre season we all saw he could impact games, lennons classic mismanagement saw us neglect talents like him, Turnbull and soro for a large part of the season, wouldn’t blame the lad if he’s felt hard done by... he was. To put it simply we had no rw and chose to put Christie rm for a large part of the season where jaramillo could’ve came in and Atleast filled a gap and upped his price tag. Farcical from management all season so I don’t blame the players for the most part

No he shouldn’t. He’s got a say in it too. At the end of the day it’s his life and his development, it says something that he wanted to stay here and push himself.
