Went to have a swatch at BJS’ record before I took a punt on him.

It’s 7 (yes 7) years since he marginally beat Eubank. He’s only fought 5 times since then.

Inactivity is what will kill him, he’ll try a few things and he’ll get a bit of success but he’s not active enough to get the decision. Canelo camp wide as * again in terms of timings.

He was doing really well. I had him a round up. But given the way he is, he must have something badly wrong with the eye to give up like that.

No shame in not coming out after that blow, if he did Canelo would have targeted that eye and the damage could be much worse permanently, I think BJS froze, maybe the occasion got to him but the outcome looked inevitable, I don't think Canelo would have KO'd him though minus the eye injury but he was starting to light him up.

Didn't think he would have stopped him, thought he would have went the distance.

But the punch ended that, he couldn't continue, quite rightly.

Fractured eye socket apparently. Kind of thing that can lead to permanent vision damage quite easily.

Love watching Canelo and beginning to feel like we’re watching something very special. Amazingly active, always comes in 100% and takes the fight to his opponent, great technician with excellent power.

Caleb Plant will be a tough fight for him, but you can hardly see anyone beating him just now.

There is when you have recently publicly mocked another fighter (Dubois) for quitting with a similar injury. According to BJS he would NEVER have quit in such circumstances.

Seems karma is a *! GIRFUY BJS!

    BJS On Daniel Dubois...

‘If my two eye sockets were broken, my jaw was broken, my teeth were out, my nose was smashed, my brain was beaten, I was not stopping until I was knocked out or worse...’

Yeah that was my immediate thoughts. Don’t criticise a man without walking in his shoes.

Im sure Dubois fought in for about 7/8 rounds with it too.

Aye no shame in it which is why he shouldn't have mocked the other * for it haha. It’s a brutal shot. In my opinion the only way to beat Canelo is to walk him down like Golovkin done in the first fight but most don't have the chin for it and he tends to fight non punchers.

The guys had a absolutely astonishing line up of opponents in recent years against some of the hardest hitting 168/175lb men in the planet.

    Comical that..

He lost to triple G in the first fight for me but he's fought everyone, even a light heavyweight (past his best but still a big puncher) in Kovalev who was off the back of knocking out Yarde with a jab..

Always thought Canelo would stop him. I've actually no seen the fight yet but those comments about Dubois must sting like * now..

It was a decent contest up until the injury, it did feel like Canelo could have put his foot down when required if needed right enough. Was scoping/boxing within himself.
