As a valued Celtic supporter, we wanted to provide you with an update on a few key subjects.
The Club is working hard to complete the appointment of the new Celtic Manager and relevant football staff and will be doing all we can to confirm this as soon as possible to our supporters.

Rightly there will always be a huge appetite for information from our supporters – unfortunately we are not able to make regular public comment on this matter, but we fully understand and appreciate the need to complete this process as soon as we can.

We also acknowledge and understand the frustration of our supporters during this process, but our objective of course is to ensure that we secure the best candidate possible to take the Club forward and this is our focus. We will update all our supporters through our Club communications channels as soon as we are able to.
We are now in a transitional period in respect of our Chief Executive handover. Peter Lawwell, our CEO is working closely with incoming CEO Dominic McKay on a successful handover to ensure that we are ready for next season across all aspects of the Club, with considerable planning and preparatory work already undertaken.
Importantly, Peter and Dom along with colleagues plan to have met with all our main supporters' groups by next week. Engagement and dialogue with all our supporters is crucial to everyone at the Club.

We recognise there are many challenges ahead, but we are all ready to tackle these together, with our aim as always, to give our supporters a Club they can be proud of based on the great Celtic values.
We also aim very shortly to make an announcement on Season Tickets. Clearly there are a number of issues concerning the return of supporters to matches and we hope to give our fans as much clarity as possible in terms of the proposals for next year.

Again we understand that supporters are wishing to make plans for next season so these details will be announced by the Club as soon as possible.

Ensuring that our fans can return to Celtic Park is a major priority and we are working closely with all the relevant authorities including the Scottish Government to be ready, when given the go ahead, to safely welcome our supporters back to the stadium.

Again, Celtic will always aim to be at the forefront of these discussions on behalf of our supporters. We want our fans back with us more than anything to create our special Celtic Park atmosphere and we want to do all we can to make this happen for you as soon as possible.
We have not been able to deliver the kind of season we have become so used to and after such a sustained period of success, we sincerely understand the disappointment and frustration of our supporters - now we make it our objective to return the Club to the top in the shortest possible timeframe.

This is the intention of us all at Celtic, as ever we are highly motivated and aiming to do all we can to bring success back to the Club and we are sure, working together with our supporters that this can be achieved.

We thank all our fans for your fantastic continued support.

We look forward to keeping you updated.

    Kind regards
    Celtic Football Club

It's something, without telling us anything or actually updating anything. It's at least something.

    It is something.

But 1. How can they ever talk or do anything on behalf of fans if they don't engage with fans?

    2. Looking forward to keeping us updated is a riddy of a line.

People wanted communication, they got it. They were never going to give details of who they interviewed and what hold ups might be.

Have members of the board came out and admitted they voted Tory? Serious question. I know a few supporters who’ve said they were voting Tory! Self preservation tbf as they’re minted.

Celtic fans don't want communication, they want a good manager to be appointed - something most of us have been asking for since October.

Maybe the hold ups are out of the boards hands. So what? * them. It should've been dealt with months ago. They're incompetent and arrogant and deserve every criticism coming their way. I've said it before but the pressure on the board from the support is inadequate. It's pathetic. We should be protesting outside the stadium by now.

Lawwell should already have left. We don't need a handover from him, certainly not one lasting more than a meeting. That would be like a new manager working with Lennon or Kennedy for a few months.

To give an analogy, it's like they should've ordered vaccines in October, November, December but they waited until March and now that people are dead and they can't get any they're shrugging their shoulders and saying, "Well we can't get any now, hardly our fault".

It's a * scandal how this club is run and it's our fault for allowing these incompetent arseholes to run it this way.

No * Tory should be on the Celtic board especially after the Tory party voted down the free meals for children who's parents are poor .
We were founded on that to feed the poor in Glasgow in 1888 and to have Tory * on our board who refused to help children and give them a meal is a * insult to our support and Desmond should have told them to go and the club will never move forward with these parisites within the club

Made my decision not to renew my ST a couple of weeks ago and haven’t bought any merchandise for a while.

After this ‘statement’ I’m sure I made the right choice. No more of my money is going into our club until there’s major changes. * bursting their baws doing all sorts of unsocial working hours to feed those *. Everyone has a different opinion on it and I understand that but Im happy with what I’ve done.

Do you know what really * me off and they fully had the chance to do it within that message. WE as supporters haven’t been told one * ‘sorry’ by the club for what’s happened this season. It wouldn’t help the hurt or dissappointment but you know what it’d be nice to just hear the people in charge actually know how * this seasons been for us all.

    * them

Think there will be other supporters feeling the same way StanP19 and don't blame them and I have been very critical of the board in the past but more so now .
The utter contempt they are showing to faithful season ticket holders is disgusting its bad enough with fences been put up and just ignoring your customers for ten weeks is shocking and think it's time for change not just within the board but with the major shareholder who should move aside and let someone else who's going to take this club forward not just domestically but in Europe .

To be fair, did the fences not go up after fans turned up going mental? Better crowd control than picking managers.

If it was Lawwell to be at the helm next season I’d agree, I’m going to give McKay the benefit of the doubt though.

Not got any reason to have faith in him, but it’s up to him this summer to lose it.

This s probably the worst communication bulletin I’ve read that’s why I don’t think it’s real because the real if D McKay is a PR and Communication-expert his statement is more likely to be succinct and direct to the point so I’ve translated it into what the club are actually saying if they sent this out.

    CLUB STATEMENT

As a valued Celtic supporter, we wanted to provide you with an update on a few key subjects.

Translation: We want your money and we’ll tell yeah what we want, when we want

The Club is working hard to complete the appointment of the new Celtic Manager and relevant football staff and will be doing all we can to confirm this as soon as possible to our supporters.

Translation: Our Owner is adamant he wants Eddie Howe and we’re no asking anyone else until it’s too late, but we have John Kennedy as back up just in case we’ll let you know once we dust off and prepare the same old statement that we tried but couldn’t get it over the line.

Rightly there will always be a huge appetite for information from our supporters – unfortunately we are not able to make regular public comment on this matter, but we fully understand and appreciate the need to complete this process as soon as we can.

Translation: We’ve already told you were preparing the old statement but we thought we’d repeat ourselves as the statement was a bit short.

Translation: We totally agree that this season is * up and our owner is chasing his no 1 target but he’s no committing his self until he gets what he wants.
Peter is showing Dom all the best restaurants to go to and how to play solitaire on the computer. Peter and Dom are hosting a dinner next week for all the big wigs with money , if there’s time we’ll send a well punctuated letter to our fan groups.

Translation: We’re hoping that your blind love for the club will overshadow the * ups we made in a year that would have defined us as one of the greatest club teams in the world and that you’ll give us your money same as usual eh,

Again we understand that supporters are wishing to make plans for next season so these details will be announced by the Club as soon as possible.

Translation: We are getting the renewal letters out this week so renew immediately don’t go on a holiday this year stay home just give us your money instead

Translation: We are eager to get you back into the club shop and our other retail outlets as soon as possible. And we’re pestering the government to get it done but she’s no listening.

We have not been able to deliver the kind of season we have become so used to and after such a sustained period of success, we sincerely understand the disappointment and frustration of our supporters - now we make it our objective to return the Club to the top in the shortest possible timeframe.

Translation: Even though this season is a complete * up and we need to renew 30% of the first team squad We are no spending crazy amounts of money so don’t get your hopes up, it might be a few seasons before we get there

This is the intention of us all at Celtic, as ever we are highly motivated and aiming to do all we can to bring success back to the Club and we are sure, working together with our supporters that this can be achieved.

Translation: So in order for us to get anywhere we need you to give us as much money as you can and keep your mouth shut when we waste it oh and remember don’t go on holiday stay safe and just gee us your money.

We thank all our fans for your fantastic continued support and money, mainly the money

We look forward to keeping you updated.
