Call it a fluke if you want, he still set up his team to be solid and it took Sevco about 115 mins to score into them, Sevco put 6 past us in 180 mins the past two weeks, guy clearly knows how to set up a side against tougher opposition.
Point stands, just because someone grew up a hun doesn't mean they can't be a huge success at Celtic, there are countless examples, would you seriously not consider Callum Davidson as manager just because he grew up a hun regardless of his managerial ability?

He's a loser and a wee mutant. Why would I want some diddy St Johnstone manager in charge of one our biggest ever transitional period's?:giggle1:

I wouldn't even let him manage the turnstiles..

Diddy St Johnstone manager on the cusp of an unprecedented domestic achievement for a club outside Celtic and Oldco? Looks like you've spent too long down there surrounded by all those arrogant English * who * on the Scottish game anytime they can yet * their pants over a relegated Bournemouth manager

Losers don't win two trophies in one season for a club like St Johnstone in their first ever season in management, it can't even be called a fluke if he does it twice

he’s been in the job for how long? And it’s his first managerial appointment. So based on him reaching 2 cup finals, and getting into the top 6 (not top 3, or 4, but the top half of a * league) he’s done enough to be considered. Does experience not come into the equation? Have we sunk so low that a team that shows up against the huns are hailed as trailblazers and a blueprint for us? And before you say “ we conceded 6” bla bla bla...aye...but we are pish just now.

I’m sorry but you’re either fishing or miles oot here. I’m no blaming you, the delay and silence is driving everyone a bit mad.

actually, nah, I am blaming you. Stop yer pish.

He's been in the job less than a year in his first ever managerial season yet is on the cusp of a League Cup & Scottish Cup double as well as a 5th place finish which that alone is an achievement for St Johnstone before you even mention the cups, it's insane levels of over achievement which I don't think is getting the credit and recognition it deserves from many, if he's able to do that for a team like St Johnstone, imagine the levels of over achievement that could be reached in Europe under him for us instead?

Delusional about what? About his ability as a manager? Clearly looks like a talented manager with huge potential going forward to anyone who has a clue about football.

Also if anyone needs 'suiting up' it's you after calling Callum Davidson a diddy St Johnstone manager and a loser despite being on the cusp of a League Cup & Scottish Cup double in one season :56:

ok so not experienced. And charging for a fantastic 5th place. And has won 1 cup. So he’s made a good start to his managerial career at a small club, as he learns the ropes, but hasn’t even a full season in the role of manager. Anywhere. And has no European experience. And not used to being in a domestic league where the expectation is to win and win with style every week. And deal with a higher calibre of athlete. Or the pressure that comes with being Celtic manager. Or handle significant media scrutiny.

    Sounds like the perfect fit.

he is a manager that has made a good start to his career. That’s it. But not for us now.

You have a clue about football, really? :56:

Aye that pish English manager who got Bournemouth relegated. Lol..

The guy took them through about 3 league's on a shoe string budget whilst playing free-flowing, attacking football. Earned rave reviews and was linked with big EPL job's when Bournemouth were a stable top flight outfit, as well as the national team. Still been heavily linked with EPL job's over the last couple of month's..

Let's get rookie Callum Davidson in from St Johnstone though. * me man put me to sleep :48:

Was it * a shoe string budget, he was backed in the lower leagues with more funds than the clubs around him yet still couldn't even deliver the League 2 or League 1 title, only gaining promotion through 2nd, getting linked with the England job doesn't mean a lot given some of the * they've been employing in that job for years, Gareth Southgate is their current manager ffs who only managed Middleborough & England U21, don't need to be Pep to get linked with that job.

You literally called Callum Davidson a loser and a diddy St Johnstone manager despite being on the brink of an unprecedented domestic cup double, talk about being clueless about football to come away with that, not a chance Howe could have achieved that for a club like St Johnstone given he couldn't even deliver Bournemouth the League 1 title, League 2 title or the Johnstones Paint Trophy ffs

It's more than just a good start ffs, talk about an understatement and 5th place is an achievement for St Johnstone so you need some perspective.

To all your points that you feel it takes to be a Celtic manager, Howe doesn't tick many of those either does he?

Brushing off his achievements whilst waffling about a rookie St Johnstone manager like he's about to bag a double and hasn't even played the semi yet..

Comedy gold the whole thing. Night :56:

If Callum Davidson can win a cup double with St Johnstone, just imagine what he could do with Man Utd and all their riches?

Champions League winners within a year.

Eddie Howe was more successful than Brendan Rodgers before he came to Celtic.
Pity Callum Davidson wasn't available then or we would have been Europa/champs league winners along with the quad treble winners.
