What camera's are you guys using pics are extremely sharp and detailed, I seem to never be able to take a half decent photograph I've always been like that for some reason, I'm convinced it's me and not the camera.
Some tips would be much appreciated.
I have a built in Camera on my Huawei Y7 and a GoPro Hero 6 Black

It depends what kind of pictures you're taking Scuzzy, if you're interested in wildlife you might need a fast shutter speed to "freeze" the subject as they have a habit of moving as you're lining up a shot, if you like Landscape, a tripod might suit to steady your phone/ go pro, you might consider buying a camera, there's plenty of good 2nd hand deals going.

Yeah being honest I would prefer a proper camera to a phone thing, I like wildlife for sure however landscapes are very interesting too and I'm a sucker for snow scenes. I have been toying with the idea of getting a dslr and a tripod for over a year now and on reading many reviews the choices do not stop, even some older versions are recommended over newer versions so my head is a bit fried in what way to go, I was originally gonna go for a canon but I'm still not sure as it can be an expensive outlay I don't wanna go buy the wrong thing.
Can you advise on the correct camera's that would have the fast shutter speed you were referring to.

It really comes down to budget and how seriously you take your hobby, cameras and equipment can be expensive, i use canon gear, but i've bought my cameras second hand to save a few bob, a good mid range canon Dslr would be the EOS 650d, it has a few bells and whistles and a good pre owned one shouldn't be too expensive, you also have to factor in lenses, you'll need at least two, one for landscape and a zoom lense for wildlife, there is also the Bridge camera route, they have a fixed zoom lense which covers both Landscape and Wildlife, I think Bag for life and Jeannie use Bridge cameras.
It can be head wrecking trying to choose what suits, but as long as you don't go to big expense only to find out in a couple of months it's not for you. Try youtube for reviews on cameras.

Scuzzy I've got the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC HX400V digital bridge camera with WiFi and a zeiss lens, it cost£350 new but I'm sure you can get them second hand
I like it because you don't need separate lenses has 50xzoom and is a good all rounder for wildlife and landscapes, it's the first serious camera I've bought and to be honest wish I'd done it year's ago as it's a great hobby, and I found looking at the reviews of the camera's I was looking at very helpful :)

Good idea guys thanks, I'll do a lil web crawling and have a look at reviews and see what's out there BTW saw a 650 body only for £325 is that about the right price for a second hand one in "good" condition ?

I was pleased to see my first Swift of the year flying over my local patch late morning today. Then I saw another flying over my housing Estate when I closed in on home.

I'm from Dalmarnock mate. Right in the middle of hun territory, but I stay at the end of a wee lane called 'Fenien Alley' . It's a good wee area but outside of my immediate area, too many huns.

A couple from Saturday on Gleneasky Bog, we were up preparing our turf for next years fuel supply, there wasn't a lot of bird life around, could hear a Skylark calling and saw a pair of (i think) Meadow Pipits.
