That Jim Jefferies patter is brutal. In all honesty I stopped listening to it because I couldn't handle listening to how pish Celtic are and it wouldn't be half as bad if we were winning.

Ran it's course for me. Repetitive tripe and shouting louder than the guy next to you doesn't make you funny. Also they know the square root of * all about football. Kevin Kyle alone contradicts himself inside every sentence he manages to construct and he's probably the least thick.

    Bit strong that.

Paul Slane had it all in front of him and it all fell apart because of mentality, injuries and decisions he made. You can tell he still struggles mentally, he disappears off the show for weeks at a time. He’s obviously riddled with anxiety.

But he’s turned a failed career into something, which is good for him and makes him far from a loser. Pretty pathetic and ironic you’ve felt the need to say * like that on a public forum.

Open Goal was as its best interviewing current and ex pros.

Don't get me started on Slaney though. He's the most unfunny wee * I've ever seen yet folk keep playing upto him. The Amsterdam jokes made sense 10 year ago as well, now it's just * patter. "Slaney, ye *?". If he dialled the antics back a few notches then he'd be way more tolerable.

I still enjoy it. Never as good when your not winning though these types of things. Zombies thought it was some Celtic podcast for years now they seem to love it but if we win next year they would hate it again. Same with SSB ect we found it hilarious at times now it’s * for us :56:

Assuming they will be speaking about the European Super League, wonder how long until they try and spin a story about Amsterdam into it :32:

If he struggles with anxiety and has mental health issues, being on a show where he has the * ripped out of him in front of thousands of viewers on a weekly basis by his “mates” probably isn’t the best place for him.

Decisions he made? What? Like blowing the money the club gave him to get surgery on an injury that ultimately ended his career in Amsterdam?

And maybe I was a bit strong, but he’s just not for me.

Yep. Same jokes about Kevin Kyle and "the jet" sharing a bed/bath/other sexual situation.
I still listen to it but I think the one on one interviews were better.

I’ve struggled with it since my Dad passed and the normality of work and being with friends, the back and forth slaggings has been the best thing for me.

Aye that’s what I meant by decisions he made and you can bet it’s not the only bad one he made.

Stop trying to take some sort of high ground with the mental health stuff or the mistakes people make. Especially when you were quick to insult him there. Toxic as *.

I’m not taking any sort of high ground mate? I just don’t think he deserves as much sympathy as some people seem to afford him. I could only dream of the opportunity he had, and yes, he was dealt a blow with his injury, but he was also offered help and a way of remedying it.....and he what all over it.

I liked the format when it was just Ferry interviewing ex-pros.

Found the ones with McGeady interesting.

But no harm, that wee fella Slaney is just annoying as *. Don't find him funny at all.

Gets too much sympathy, but also gets bullied in front of thousands for their entertainment.

    Make your mind up.

I enjoy the coupon show on the Thursday, I usually stick the Tuesday podcast on and end up turning it off after ten minutes.

The one to one interviews were brilliant, I think Simon has ran out of mates to interview been a while since he's had a decent guest on - some of the shows with McGeady, Robson, Hartley, Strachan, Moyes even McCoist were a good watch. I think he does the sit down interviews with Slaney now unfortunately - thought he came across like a right * in the Jamie Carragher episode.

That’s precisely the reason he deserves no sympathy. He makes a conscious DECISION to put himself in that environment and get poked fun at by Ferry. The same way he made decisions that destroyed his chances of making it as a professional footballer.

Literally don’t see him getting any sympathy for him having fun poked at him on the show.
