Will be no better than Lawwell. Both have been/will be working to desmonds remit.

    Same.

Has the whiff of a No-voting Tory about him.

I've watched most of the interviews I can find of him online. He seems like he is all chat - I've come across a lot of guys like him at work. Talk a good game but when you try and get into the nuts & bolts crumble quickly. I have nothing to base this on though.

If it was down to him, his work on the Glasgow Warriors has been decent in getting them more supported and the whole Pro14 finals going to Athletic Bilbao's stadium, and ours. Also clearly cheekily getting us a bit of money while he can as well in that.

Apparently he used to avoid playing football at school in favour of going sailing in Daddy's yacht and was of course a big fan of 'ruggers'.

    Alarm bells.

If you have ‘alarm bells’ because the incoming CEO of a major business is upper-middle class, you’re very easily shocked and completely naive.

I’d regard myself as working class, but I avoided football at high school as well, because I was clumsy af, overweight and had zero skills.

Had no idea someone’s teenage football capabilities were so crucial for overseeing financial business strategy.
Richard Branson and Elon Musk must have been like Messi and Ronaldo at 13. :56:

According to Football Insider, Celtic’s biggest shareholder, Dermot Desmond, has demanded a root-and-branch overhaul of the club’s recruitment department.

To that end, Gary Penrice, Mick Doherty and John Murphy, who all formed part of the club’s recruitment department, will fall on their swords with immediate effect.

Doherty lives on wayne rooney and coleman players in the past.

I would like to see what players they put up for the club signing in a realistic manner, I expect the final say rests with lawwell.

imagine toney, joe hart, a centre hald and a natural winger this season. toney and griff :) sounds like a cracking happy hardcore dj duo and they would have ripped the league apart lol

A guy in work is saying McKay signed off on pay rises for himself and the other Rugby big wigs in the midst of the pandemic? More Tory behaviour if so.

He's got some job getting the fans back on side.

Strange that the club have said nothing about this given it’s his first day in the job.
